do any of you have offline link for a osx 10.13.6 installer.
I made a mistake of installing the newer version and didn't kept
a copy of the old one.

Does anyone have a link to the .exe file for Gog Galaxy 2.0.47?

The below link worked when 2.0.46 was released:

Hopefully this would provide a solution to Gog Galaxy not automatically updating to the latest version.

Each time a new installer is released, check that link to get the current URL for the latest installer.

If I click on that link you have provided, it takes me to page which shows the URL for version "2.0.46.133"

That links to the file setup_galaxy_2.0.46.133.exe

I already have that version installed. I want to install the latest version.

The latest version is 2.0.47 - it is that file that I am looking for i.e. setup_galaxy_2.0.47.exe or somethin similar.

In that case I'm stumped and am not sure what to suggest. I can't find any references to 2.0.47 apart from a handful of sporadic "it tries to update but fails" messages. I haven't found any confirmed reports of a successful release and installation of that version.

Any chance that 2.0.47 might have had a bug or two and been pulled by GOG pending further QA?

2.0.47 is an experimental preview update which was also announced with a news post:

To get access you need to enable "Experimental features and updates" in the Galaxy settings. Screenshot attached.

Unfortunately I also haven't found an offline installer for that version. :(

I have checked that little box under General in Settings and it still doesn't run the update. Sometime it gets to 95% but then just fails. Perhpas it is buggy like Alex says?

I'll keep trying and if I find out how to get it to work I'll post here.

Also, my 'Importing' just hangs at 95% and never finishes... I just have to click the 'x' to get rid of it. It used to work. Now it just doesn't.

Lo and behold!

I just posted my above reply and when I went back to Galaxy - it had the pop-up saying it wanted to update.

But this time it said 2.0.48 (Beta) and also a hotfix 2.0.49! From 26/4/22 and 27/4/22 respectively.

I told it to update and I got the usual "something went wrong" pop-up but...

It had updated anyway! So weird.

What is good though is there is now an option from the settings cog to 'check if Galaxy is up to date' - so no more waiting for the pop-up to just appear. You can keep retrying to update over and over until it works!

edit: Critical setting for new install post install
Settings -> Installing, updating -> Game installation folder
Default folder is: C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games
Needs to be set to a folder outside of C:\Program Files (x86)
At a minimum, change it to this: C:\GOG Games

A tip for installing Galaxy to a folder Windows will not mess with, during Galaxy setup, install to C:\GOG\Galaxy.
Then set the install folder to C:\GOG\Games and you will encounter no problems installing and launching your game titles.

If you use a drive other than the OS drive, simply change the drive letter to your desired drive. For example if you want your games to run from drive "D:\", then set the Galaxy install folder to D:\GOG\Galaxy and the games install folder to D:\GOG\Games.

I haven't been using Gog Galaxy for a while - I'd got to a point where it wouldn't even open - Anyway, I reinstalled it yesterday (the latest version I had was 2.0.54.24) and it *seemed* to be working. I tried to install a game overnight and today it's just not working at all again...
