It's been over a month since the last update. I'd assumed there would be more frequent updates given that it's beta software and so many features from Galaxy 1.0 are missing.

I'm seriously considering uninstalling 2.0 as it's missing so many features compared to 1.0.

Really, I love the interface/new functions, but without the ability to download your game/backups from your online library, I may have to consider uninstallation myself!

EDIT: Bahh, I'll just dust off my old gog downloader no need to go back...

Actually, is not alpha, but beta.

But yes, due to many feature missing, should be alpha.

I guess they have confusing ideas...

True, thanks for pointing that out.
What rather me bothers is this whole "re-linking" issues.
Everytime i start up GoG Galaxy 2.0 i have to relink my accounts / library which mess the whole sorting plus kinda kills the purpose, because the Tool was meant to have fewer clicks instead of more or same amount of clicks, to being able to launch my games.

Alphas usually aren't (semi) public.

But can't you download installers through the web browser?

Which one does that?

Battle.net unofficial one did that on my laptop but not my desktop (just a couple times).

Beta, by the book, is a software with errors, but considered feature complete.

Of course GOG can decide what "features complete" means but, for what I've seen, many important features are missing.
For example, to be a v2.0, the user expects the same features to be released in v1.0.

It is not actually the case, as Galaxy v2.0 lacks many features found in v1.0.

The fact that the public can download v2.0 and use it, doesn't make it beta software necessarily.

That said, whatever.
Alpha/Beta semantics aside, is there any roadmap or dev blog where we can learn when the next update will be and what it will include?
I've also been wondering what happened to GOG Galaxy 2.0.

There were a couple of updates shortly after I got into the beta, but now progress seems to have stopped entirely.

Some of the bugs on the tracker have been getting resolved, but there hasn't been any notification of updates in ages.

You make a good point but also Galaxy 2 isn't riffled with blocking bugs so can we agree that its label is somewhere between alpha and beta and leave at it for the time being? :P

It is (semi) closed beta after all. XP
I think they mentioned 1 or 2 times that they are working on a bigger update. It really takes them some time though. I guess it won't be too long anymore. At least I hope.
I thought the whole goal of this forum was to crate an full duplex communication with devs and community.

New features, new updates, what's wrong, what's good... An interesting exchange between the two parts.

But this... this is a fence for sheeps.

I generally don't bother to post for this very reason. Requests, suggestions, anyting GOG 2.0 related seems to be just talking to the wind.
I agree, it has been a while since their last update with no communication on upcoming features and ETA on that.

I dont mind about no ETAs at all but this lack of attention of GOG with the community is what really bothers me. We just got few words from their representatives from time to time here on this forum. As this is beta test I believe anybody here would be expecting a more acitve exchange of information and feedback.
We have even some community members trying to organize some FAQ in the forum to help newcomers without any word of the moderation.
