Hello!
I have like 6000 games when I combine libraries from all platforms, and GOG feels very clunky and slow when I am trying to use it. I hoped that new Galaxy will be able to centralize gaming experience, but for now (from my point of view) it's a huge failure. I had problems with GOG 2.0 since launch of BETA, but at first I was thinking that all my problems are related to a fact that I need to finally format my drives.
Right now I am few days after I finally installed fresh copy of Windows, and sadly nothing changed with GOG 2.0 client.
Lets point out some facts about my current situation:
- I have GOG 2.0 installed on very fast SSD (3500/3200 mb/s r/w speed)
- I am using powerful gaming PC with which I never had any problems so far
- My internet connection isn't a demon of speed, but when I test it using speedtest I reach 50mb/s download and 30mb/s upload speed, which should be more than enough for software like GOG 2.0
- Everytime I launch GOG 2.0 it start to import and synchronize libraries, and it takes like 15 minutes to complete (unless it crash).
- Most of time synchronization permanently freezes (I just wonder why it's always 75% or 99%)
- GOG 2.0 barely show all games I have, most of time like ~1000 - 2000 is missed.
- Plugins (official ones, I do not have any unofficial installed) crash a lot.
Is there any way to fix these problems? Are my problems very common for other users? Maybe I should just sit and wait for fixes and updates?

As far as i know, the only official integration aside of GOG is Xbox Live..and thats it.
Then why it is added to GOG 2.0 by default and was used to advertise (at all is still used for that) new version of software? And correct me if I am wrong, but where is stored all that data about hours we wasted in games from Steam, Origin and so on, if not on GOG servers? Or it is downloaded directly from all these accounts each time we run GOG 2.0? Hard to believe to be honest.
Also it's funny, because you mentioned that only Xbox live is officialy supported... because it doesn't count hours for half of games I own there.

EDIT:
Launched GOG 2.0 to post a screen with Xbox games, and synchronization stuck on 99% this time :P

As you can see on attached screenshot hours are not accumulated for many games from Xbox.
It looks like GOG just takes available data from platforms and never count hours on it's own, because Xbox live isn't counting hours for these games, only achievements are working...
I was hoping for something like better version of Xfire / Raptr, but it looks like I was very wrong.

Yes,synchronization currently doesnt work for many people, including myself. You should be aware that Galaxy 2.0 is still in EARLY BETA so many thing wont work as intended.I agree with you on misleading advertisement.
Oh, yeah, I have close to 2k games and it's very slow and clunky, and trying to change the pic and background is a horrible mess sometimes, as it crashes and tries to reload back all the info and you get blank screen everywhere.
2022 and it still is a big mess. I wanted to like this client for a long time but it's slow, RAM hungry and it's always re-syncing my games every time I run it.

I's beyond me why it needs to scan my games every single time I start the client. Why doesn't it use a cache system?

BTW, my library is almost 5k games.

Same here. I keep checking back every month, or so, just to update it and see if it got fixed. The game "importing" has been stuck at 69% for months, now. I love the idea of getting to see all of my games in one place; but, I'm starting to think it might be an impossibility given the changes of all the various platforms.
I think so yeah. I have 5000 games in my library and its just too slow and so heavy. When I start galaxy first few minutes i cant do anything it sync all my games all over again and it takes too much time, specially from steam since there I have most of my games.
When finally loads everything it works very slow, if I want to scroll down my games sometimes i have to wait or sometimes i don`t have pictures of my games, just empty frames until it loads everything.
For people with bigger library this is a problem, my internet speed is 150 mbs so its not matter of connection. Further optimization is required.
I like new galaxy but because of larger number of games I have problems. I fixed it by not scrolling anything, I usually type games I want or selecting genre I like to see, then it works good. But that`s not a solution for a problem but only a workaround. I never try to open owned games but doing smaller groups of games.
