Please add a silent install option flag(s) back to the installer; or if already present, please document what the new flags are so that the package maintainer(s) at Chocolatey can update their packages. There have been 46K installs/upgrades performed via Chocolatey, which is a pretty sizeable number of customers installing via this method.
Unfortunately, it looks bad because all upgrades until 2.0+ have worked flawlessly. Now, when we update our systems, the upgrade hangs because your web installer is just a payload downloader, which ignores the old silent flags and pops up with a new GUI window that requires user intervention.
Having now downloaded and manually run your installer, I see that there are absolutely no options for the user to change. We just have to accept and install the app. Seeing as there are no options to change, a silent flag should be extremely simple to implement again.
Also, if you're using a major software installer packaging solution, there may already be silent support built in that I could research on my end if I knew which software you were using to create your installer/payload.
Or maybe it's as simple as providing links to the actual full installers instead of using the slim installer that goes online to download the rest of the payload.
