I have GOG Galaxy running with serveral integrations (Steam, Epic etc.) and also a large library of GOG games.
On every startup, it takes around half a minute until the client is ready because it is "importing" the games.

Is that a normal behaviour? Why doesn't it save the titles in a database and just loads it from there (and does the sync with the integrations silenlty in the background, while the client is alrady fully usable)?
Yes, that´s normal. It takes a few seconds for me as well.

a few seconds is this you trying out new material for a stand up show .

Hours and loops is the norm with this client 18k games
I wonder if the client does a full cache dump and re-loads/syncs all connections on startup...

I performed a complete clean re-installation of Galaxy 2.0 (even going through all the folders and registry to remove all traces).
After the installation was completed I added all connections, result was that all my games synced just fine (and fast too).

I booted up my computer the next day and out of all the games that I have, only 11 show now. All installed, between multiple platforms.

Syncing does progress, but it takes a bit. Then after a while it shows "Loading..." for an even longer time. (stuck on that point now).

-- Update:
I disconnected all platforms and logged off. After logging in again I instantly got my entire GOG library back.
No issues on repeated client exit and starts.

I just reconnected Epic and the import also works fine. I do wonder however, what will happen once the 2FA needs to be re-authenticated.
I think I will just let it be for now and see what happens in the future.

Well, I don´t own 18K games so that might be it. For me it takes seconds every time I open the app (and it´s kind of laggy until it finishes syncing). I wish it was as fast as Steam, still the best gaming client out there.
