It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Rineux: I'd be content enough if they just removed that blue ribbon in 1.2 "reminding" me to update. Is there a way to get rid of this btw? It breaks the shop sometimes because it can obscure some of the listings.
I'll have to give a nod to this, but I dont see that little blue bar anymore because I have 1.2 set to pickup where I last set off on the last game I had up - instead of defaulting to the library/store. That's the only place I ever see it and personally? never really bugged me but I'm old and indifferent. I'll be pissed if they ever break 1.2 though one thing I love about it is the extreme simplicity of the interface, all it's missing is a dark mode to be easier on my eyes.

As for a fix to the blue bar? eh, not sure there is one - or one for that annoying "Galaxy update available" box that springs up but the longer you have the client up the longer it is between flashing up again (atleast you can dismiss it, and not be forced to update one silver lining to all this I suppose.) if I had any advice I'd steer clear of using the gog store through Galaxy and use your browser instead.

Hi zippythezip,

what kind of issues do you have with Galaxy 2.0 still in 2022?

well just one actually, it doesn't work (like almost never).

It worked at the beginning, like two years ago and then randomly ''couldn't connect to gog.com'' even though the site and my own internet worked fine. I updated it to 2.0 last year and again once in a while it disconnected for couple days.

Been using 1.2.67 version from offline installer ever since without issues - just need to remember to cancel update that it tries to push each time.

If you set things up right with the instructions in the OP here, you shouldn't need to be manually cancelling the update each time - the app should just not be checking for them (it does often put an annoying blue "warning" bar at the bottom of the screen to advise you that the app is out of date, even though it's the most recent stable version).
On my mac it always crashed with a network error 10 seconds after logging in. I finally figured out that it doesn't like multiple user logged in sessions. When I logged out of all other accounts and had only 1 user logged in, it finally started working.
Haven't seen the problem myself, but also haven't been buying and playing new games on GOG much lately, and last time I did, it wasn't a problem - at least not for me. That said, this is concerning and I hope it's not what it sounds like:

Thank you! GoG Galaxy 2.0 started to say I have no games. Latest updates have been an absolute mess.
The annoying thing updated on me again for some reason. Reverting worked again after reinstalling, but i don't think it will last for the forseeable future anymore.

Just don't run the GOG launcher after a fresh install, but first delete the ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\redists\GalaxyUpdater.exe file. This will prevent GOG from automatically updating to version 2.0 (it's worked that way for me for a few months now).

Oh yes yes, i did just that, but a few days ago it just updated itself without me even touching the launcher.
