Hello,

I must run a certain game in admin mode but I didn't find how to do it on Google.
Setting the exe in admin mode and running GOG Galaxy as admin doesn't seem to work.

Any idea on how I could do this?
Until then I cannot play this game using GOG Galaxy and it's not tracking my playtime.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Don't bother with Galaxy than and just start the game (as admin).

That's what I'm doing right now but the point of Galaxy is to have all the games at one place so it failed here sadly. I hope it will be supported later
Sometimes it's better to solve the issue from the roots, why do you need to launch the game as admin ?

The admin mode should never be used/needed with games, if you have to use it maybe there's something not set/installed in the correct way.

You're right but for this particular game (one in a hundred) I need to run it as admin from what people told me on official forums.
if you set the game to run as admin then Galaxy will fire it up that way

I already did in Properties > Compatibility but it doesn't ask for admin privileges when I try to run it, it just runs without admin privileges.
are you using Windows 10? [see images]

I don't know what executable the game uses, but sometimes there are games that uses a main program just to launch the other "real one".

Example:
Galaxy launch "play.exe" (that checks if the system is 32 or 64 bit) and suddenly it executes -> "play_32.exe" or "play_64.exe"

So maybe you'll have to put the same properties even in the other executables.

I finally fixed it by creating a start.bat file with the just the executable name inside and now it works.
