Harhama: I have Windows 7, I bought a new game, and once I clicked on download and install, it automatically downloaded and installed a newer version of GOG for me. Now I can't launch GOG anymore, and there is no way I'm "upgrading" to Windows 10, what can I do to get my games back? I'm really disappointed with this sneaky update, I have bought dozens of games that I haven't gotten around to playing yet, and with them locked away in digital oblivion, it looks like I might never get to them. What am I supposed to do? I haven't managed to find an earlier version of the launcher that I could download and install.
TT_TT_TT_TT: you dont need Galaxy to launch your games. Just go to your game folders and launch them directly from there.
And if needed create new Desktop Shortcuts from the Game Folders Game Exes (Shortcuts created by Galaxy might try start Galaxy b4 launching the actual game so just delete them and create your own).
Also talking about "sneaky" update when Galaxy 2.0 states Windows 8 in its requirements is a bit meh :D
No, sneaky is correct. Like I said, it updated AUTOMATICALLY. I didn't know it would do that, I thought it was going to be some minor update, I would've declined had I known it was a whole new version that required a newer Windows! I have no idea where all the game files on my HD might actually even be, and searching for each of them is a major hassle, the whole point of this program is that THEY ARE ALL IN ONE PLACE, WHERE THEY CAN BE EASILY ACCESSED FROM. Trolling through hundreds of folder is the opposite of convenient.
I tried launching one my games, but it remains unresponsive.
