...why are we even having to ASK for this?

Users who OPT OUT OF BETA TESTING should be able to use the MOST CURRENT NON-BETA version of the client. That is literally what that option means. It is the exact definition of the phrase. Why is this not how that works? Why are users who are OPTED OUT being FORCED TO BETA TEST the BETA version of the client in violation of their settings?
