I've been having this "problem" for a while now where my games keep getting updates trough galaxy even though no new updates or patches have come out for years. I never really thought about it until recently because I've had trouble getting galaxy to go trough with updates but when games that not even gog hosts or maintain anymore that I know have the final update installed suddenly gets one I get a bit suspicious, especially since I kinda like to see every little change and detail that happens to my stuff.

Is it just a me thing or are other people getting these small, random game updates? Is this a non-thing I'm worrying about for no reason?

I should add that there's a LOT of updates today, I'm up in 7 consecutive updates, some having a download size of 0mb

Does anybody have any idea what is going on with this? I'm at over 100 game updates.

It looks like they're updating galaxy files. launcher files . We could have a new update coming on galaxy?
Been happening to me over the last days as well. Some games even updating multiple times in the same day.
It happening to my modded games. So far its completely messed up The Legend of Heroes Trials in the Sky and Thief Gold by re-downloading the files the mods replace. Very very annoying.

You should always disable auto-updates for modded games

Doesn't work. Galaxy just downloads the update anyway.
Strange, all of my modded games have been updated and the mods are untouched.

Well, I hope they'll fix that. My only modded game (Gothic 2) I recently played continues to work, but yeah those random updates of old games are out of control.

Still keeps happening. I doubt its updating anything of value either...
Why download a full game, then proceed to download it again, and again? Its doing this with every game i have installed, over and over and over and over! Wasting my bandwidth which i already have precious little of :(
I've been having this happen as well. i just abort the update and nothing happens and my games work fine, just as they did before, all saves intact and everything. i don't even think they are actually updating anything! i have auto updates off, but that doesn't seem to matter.

edit: Its funny that I'm writing this two years later and its still the same thing happening!

Yes this is still happening. It is a known bug and due to its rarity it is not worth fixing. Everything works fine. Games all work. This will not get fixed. There is no time. Enjoy your games. Nothing is being changed.
