The goal behind GOG GALAXY 2.0 is to bring all your games and friends together in one place. Today, a new partner joins us and takes us another step closer to achieving it.

We’re happy to add to GOG GALAXY 2.0 the official integration with Epic Games Store, which is the second most connected external platform in the app, says Oleg Klapovsky, SVP at GOG. Together with GOG.COM and Xbox Live, those official integrations are bringing a more seamless and reliable experience to gamers.

We’re excited that Epic Games Store integration has come to GOG GALAXY 2.0, said Steve Allison, General Manager of the Epic Games Store. It’s an important step towards breaking down walls between PC stores, as it enables a unified experience for players to manage their PC games library independent of where their games were purchased.

The new official integration is the latest addition to GOG GALAXY 2.0, which we’re constantly improving with features requested by gamers. One of the recently added was the ability to see all your gaming subscriptions in one place. It helps gamers to conveniently browse, install, and launch games from an overwhelming amount of titles available on each subscription.

I didn't know this existed. Thanks!

And I didn't even need to add my own wish. Found the same request there already:

Haters gonna hate.
Are my standard "Microsoft" games grouped in with my X-Box listing / integration? Something there just seems a bit "off"
Uh so where the heck is the button to buy stuff from Epic Store within GOG Galaxy? Am I blind or did I misunderstood that this feature is not yet complete?

That version of Galaxy is still not public, only the ones invited to test it can try that new functionality
Can`t buy any drm games on GOG, this is one of its core values. (so far)

Potentially internal internet browser to buy game from Epic Store to Epic account would work,
to integrate with GOG`s library (as connect)

What should I believe in? I`m a bit lost.

1. Drm game in Gog`s Library (without offline installer) (I don`t like this version)
or
2. Drm game integrated with my Gog`s Library (I accept this version)
or
3. These would be Epic store Drm-free games. (I love this version) ^

please help

It's so different to read this news today...

What if GOG never actually cared about DRM Free and it wasn't part of their philosophy - it was just a part of marketing tactics to build big enough userbase to play with the gaming giants? Read that news. Guy from EGS is excited and Xbox works together with GOG. We're all friends and we just need to put all the subscriptions in order (like my GOG library would be some kind of cancerous "gaming subscription", wtf).

It's easy to understand what they do when you leave this forum and look into other gaming forums. You'll see people asking if a game bought on GOG comes with a Steam key. We're opening a cage for a guy and he ask for keys to make it close it again. What's wrong with this world?

Nailed.

Connect is only option, otherwise alternative reality will come to life, reality of:
"What if GOG never actually cared about DRM Free and it wasn't part of their philosophy."
Marvellous !!! https://www.gog.com/forum/general/epic_store_games_you_can_play_without_the_epic_launcher
Many games from Epic store has no drm (can be played offline and without a luncher).

It is challenging to go to Epic store site every time free game is released, adding game by internet browser just to have it listed in Galaxy library. Would be so much easier to add free games to Epic account within GogGalaxy internal browser to Universal Library.

It does not affect in any way offline installers, as these does not need Galaxy at all, so it is safe.

Games would not be added to Gog`s account, only to Epic Games account, and I would expect more drm-free games like in other stores.

As for today I can see a good split between using Galaxy and using offline installers, for me Galaxy can go all the way with integrations this is what it is designed for, to have whole world in.

These are two different worlds
1. Internet browser + Gog`s account + Offline installers (please keep it that way)
2. GOG Galaxy + Live installers + Universal Library (optional)

Can use one or both, that put Gog`s users in a best possible position, having it all and optional.

There are 4000 games on Gog drm-free (maybe one or two are in doubt but this is nothing to do with Epic Games Store), and why am I sure that drm-free has great future?
* Game stores gain more clients (like gamersgate) whenever a store is deciding to have drm-free game on their shelf, and stores want more clients.
* People from other platforms, by using Galaxy are becoming aware of drm-free games and why it is important (remote play, moving game to offline safe machine, backup, etc)
* Games that are repaired by removing drm are getting second life and reaching players that never played or even thought about this game before.

Than, no, I do not think that integrations can change anything for worse for Gog`s users.
I do think that it will bring more gamers together to have more fun and play more games in this crazy and beautiful world.

Waiting for good news...
attempting to link for this integration when signing in using PSN has failed.

A connection to the server could not be established.
(18.1d5f1ab8.1604930473.d8c18ec)

linking PSN in-of-itself works just fine and no problems. the error only shows when trying to link Epic Games via a PSN sign-in.

how to fix? anyone?
Mr Way Too Long... where is it !? :D

Integrated with Epic Games Store! Yay!

Unfortunately, judging by what I'm seeing from GOG lately is that this only means there will be twice as many games I can't download due to lost connections on Galaxy and double the numbers of ignored inquiries to customer service.

I love the DRM-free stuff. It's awesome to go back and play old-school games from way back when. But there's still lots of work to be done on reliability and stability first before we go jumping around and adding more stuff to the mix.
@CD PROJECT RED/GOG DEVELOPERS:

You are making for xxx millions dollars the gretest game ever put dont wanna put the effort to set a nooby coder for short into this ugly UI issue i wanna close down GOG Galaxy 2.0 immediatly again, please look screenshot attached ->

I still have to open EGS to play games I have on EGS. So what is the actual and functional benefit of being able to just add the names of games into GOG library? It is just superficial and in my opinion, just a bloated feature. Since I will have to open Steam to play steam library games, EGS to play EGS library games, why do I even need to add just the names of those games into GOG library? Someone please clarify this for me because I don't understand it. I never got the point when Steam added the similar feature years ago, I don't still get the point now.

Literally getting 2 and 3+ month wait times on support tickets.

Galaxy 2.0 is directly labelled as beta, functions as if in pre-alpha, and has been directly acknowledged by support staff as being in beta.

I am opted out of beta testing.

I have to make unsupported file edits to prevent Galaxy from auto-updating itself into the beta version.
