MMLN: Can somebody point me to a direction, where to find the newest changelog, so I can see if the bug was already fixed or not? Even if we are still on 2.0.37 build :(

DawEdhel: Knowledge gateway
Thank you.
I have many platforms connected to Galaxy and more than 7k games. Since the last update "importing games" task takes more than 15-20 minutes to fully complete, and that's if I don't do anything other than staying at GOG Galaxy client window :D
Will you guys do something about caching games? 2.0.37 was fine, I don't know what changed but it sucks for big libraries, that's for sure.
I got a whole bunch of achievements in two games last week on steam, but then I came to play some of my GOG games and I noticed that galaxy recorded the playtime but not the achievements for those steam games? So what gives?
Hi, I'm not participating in the beta ( I guess ), but I REALLY want to see these things implemented so I can use only gog galaxy as my main gaming hub in my PC.

-> All platforms that start as a dependency for running an external game should be closed with the game when I finish my gaming session. Somewhat like how launching for honor from ubisoft works on Steam. Steam opens a slim version of uplay with the bare minimum to run the game. When I quit the game, uplay process/service is ended too. I want gog galaxy to do this with all its integrations. I know that it doesnt depend only of cd projekt red devs to make this happen, but maybe you guys could reach out to the devs of other platforms to further improve the integration between your softwares;

-> Friendlist integration: I want to be able to use GoG Friendlist to chat with at least my steam friends. Chat integration with all supported platforms is ideal;

->Discord integration. Not really needed, but I'm looking forward to gog galaxy to unify all my gaming stuff in one place and reduce the amount of clicks, transitions, etc in my gaming sessions during my free time. So... this is it.

Sorry for the little "spam" I did for sending the feedback forms in gog galaxy and posting this answer here, but I really want to see this happening. Thanks for your time reading this!

About the achievements... well, I dont give a single fu** about this. Its just a medal which you dont interact in any way and doesnt change usability. If you want to check this info, you can always massage your ego going in steam or whatever has your acomplishments records. To me, utility and function is more important for a software like this.

Yes, you are. If you're using Galaxy 2.0 it is flagged as "beta" and you are using it.

This part, yes. Making it a mini-client that's a "bare minimum" version rather than the full launcher? Would be awesome but not realistic to expect.

This is also unrealistic. It would be good if it COULD happen, but there's no realistic way to think it even potentially MIGHT, let alone push to make it happen.

This is more plausible than integrating chat services from other platforms.

I don't mind seeing them pop up while I play, but I agree that they're not important. They are something a lot of modern gamers get invested into though, so it's nice to see support for the feature.

Of course, properly-functioning tags which you can view equally across the website and the launcher app are also a nice feature. So is actually having reliable access to your game library. And a semi-competently-designed UI that actually gives reliable visibility of your game library while in an app designed to give access to those games.

We still have those in Galaxy 1.2 but in spite of promises that all features are present in 2.0, they're all missing to some degree for some users. And support is still taking in some cases more than 2 months to reply to customers asking them to fix things.

Getting the same unfortunately.
Hello, the integration of Amazon Games, Garena is missing and it would be good if we could also add launchers like Steam, etc ...

Game time tracking does not work anymore for me. I use Windows 7 64 bit. I tried reinstalling it multiple times, didn't help. Is there a fix for this?
Gog galaxy 2.0 is abandoned, there are no major updates and many bugs have not been fixed for years.

I mean they have been doing updates, which I think has been the reason for this bug. Or its the fact that I am using Windows 7. Up until recently its been working with no issues. I mean how hard is it to have game time tracking work?
Please, we are waiting on update. GOG Galaxy was far my favourite launcher, any chance to a clarification?

Hey Man windows support for windows 7 ended in January 2020. Not software company will maintain their software for an OS that is not supported itself. SOrry, time to move on.

Just ignore that Win7 still has a larger install base than every version of MacOS and Linux combined even when you're focusing on people who use their PCs for gaming. Anyone who supports either of those platforms has better incentive to make their game Win7 friendly than to support the other OSes they're willing to work with.

Microsoft has ended support but the userbase sticking with Win7 is LARGER outside of gaming so many apps still support it even if its own devs don't. Critical security updates have continued throughout this year, too, so it's not like "unsupported" means it's a totally dead system with no preservation of basic functionality.

Of note: Every major web browser that's ever supported Win7 still does.

Apart from a handful of months of god updates this project is essentially in maintenance mode with nothing of any significance added to it
