chandra: Let’s talk!
The absence of any talking from GOG on any of the actual issues being raised has made this comment age very poorly.
The open beta (aka forced upgrade to unstable release for all users) is about to see its first anniversary in a few weeks, so I'm asking myself when we are about to see a 2.0 stable release, which also deserves this name.

I can imagine that we'll see a huge upgrade when Cyberpunk launches, it was quite a similar situation with Witcher 3.

I'm still sitting in 1.2 limbo, waiting for improvements and haven't bought any game on GOG ever since. All we do get are broken integrations to other platforms, social media connections and enhanced integration to the unpopular Epic Store.

I've often stepped in for GOG in past discussions on different platforms, but I couldn't do this any more in 2020. :/

you're not alone.

I've moved on and collect my games elsewhere, checking the forums only now and then out of masochism or something :D

Given that I've been forced for medical reasons to abandon Steam, I've picked up the odd title here and there on GOG since the forced beta, but most of my gaming has been through itch.io lately instead of any of the bigger storefronts. Kind of sucks to see the mess that PC gaming companies are making of themselves this year.
No actual improvements, nothing of value added (like that epic store thingie that NOBODY asked for), lots of bugs and many more things people scream here.

I can see a lot of horrible management issues in GOG team, especially after the delay of Cyberpunk.

That is it!. Lights on. No more mystery. They are all working on CP77. :D

mdueppen: I generally like the GOG Galaxy 2.0 beta. Thank you very much.

However I will not be able to use it as my primary launcher for one simple reason: my main gaming PC is connected directly to a TV an I let this PC boot directly into Steam Big Picture mode. I only use a mouse/keyboard on this PC in case of "emergencies".
So please: add controller/gamepad support, like the Steam "Big Picture Mode". If this were added I would use GOG Galaxy 2.0 as my primary launcher.

Secondly, please add support for the XBox 360 games. It's really odd, that the official XBox support only supports XBox One and completely ignores the older XBox 360 games.
I totally agree with this. Using gog galaxy as a hub for all installed games in a Big Picture or Cinematic mode with gamepad support is all i need. And an option to start big picture mode immediately when windows start would be great.

yab: Big Picture or Cinematic mode with gamepad support is all a need
you do know that playnite does all this flawlessly, right? if not, take a look :)

Thanks
i tried playnite but it does not recognize all games i have. So i have to set them up individualy. Its too much work.
i have like 400 games to modify. its too much.

Gog recognize all games i have which is great. Hopefully they will integrate gamepad support.

please fix this ->

Since the update, it's completely broken the Xbox integration. Every single one of my achievements are now showing 0% achieved.

It is getting frustrating that I am seeing more and more things breaking and not getting fixed after every update.

Xbox achievements are showing here but some Steam games say 0% (integration is not official though). But yeah, progress on the Galaxy app has been slow and features announced long ago (like cross-platform chat) are still not implemented.
I would not be surprised if they decide to postpone any future updates for Galaxy 2.0 to fix the shitstorm that is Cyberpunk 2077.

The Xbox achievement bug is fixed for me now. But like you, I have a few Steam achievements that are showing 0%. It's frustrating that Steam and GOG can't come together and create an official integration, because the community integration doesn't seem to be getting any fixes of late. The games I have showing 0% achievements have been stuck like this for months now.

Different teams working on different things, so I don't see why they would need to postpone any future updates.

Downloads are very slow through Galaxy, using the browser the speed is correct.
