Every time I launch Galaxy, I get this error message popup after a few seconds saying "Connection to communication service was lost and could not be restored! GOG Galaxy will now shutdown"

If I click ok, Galaxy shuts down. If I keep the popup open in the background, it seems to keep working (at least doesnt close..)

Any fix ?

I'm getting the same thing. Sometimes Galaxy remains open when I close the window, but more oftern than not it crashes. It also locks up the system and last time I had windows beep error (not system - i.e. frm the case).

Hope this gets fixed too. I have limited gaming time and a few minutes waiting for it to reload is annoying.

I solved this by resetting the winsock feature under windows 10. Sometimes that thing gets corrupt.

-open the cmd console via adminstrator rights
-The console will launch, then type "netsh winsock reset" and restart your computer.

Maybe it can work. For me it solved this annoying thing after the last Windows 10 update/hotfix

Greetings.
Had same problem for three mounths. Had to contact GOG and made a ticket on GOG Galaxy Issue Tracker on 17.07.21 and still no changes or solutions from Galaxy team. Recently I reinstalled Win10 and so far everything works fine. Even better than before, but who knows for how long will it lasts.

For future reference, sometimes submitting a new reply to a ticket helps. I don't know if tickets get buried or if replying shows you're someone who will work with them to fix the issue (instead of just expecting them to figure it out on their own) but yeah, every time I have a delayed ticket, submitting a new reply helps speed up the response.

I will remember that, thanks.
