Hey, all. I just wanted to point out (for those who might be wondering) that we can force changes from our computer files to the Galaxy cloud if we make the changes while a game is running and then exit the game. When we exit the game, Galaxy will read our computer folders and update the cloud.

Here's a little more detail about what I mean...

I'm playing Graveyard Keeper (awesome game, by the way). But the game does not have save game and load game functions. It just saves to one game file and keeps resaving the same file.

So in my Graveyard Keeper directory on my computer, I make copies of this one save file and tuck them into my own saved games folders so I can go back to a previous save whenever I need to simply by swapping the current save file with a previous one that I duplicated.

This works fine. Galaxy reads my computer folders, and the older saved game I want to play is available for me to play.

The problem, however, is that when I exit the game, Galaxy cloud changes the folders I made in my Graveyard Keeper directory on my computer to match what's on the cloud, instead of updating the cloud to accept the changes I made to my directories.

Here's the fix. In order to force Galaxy to update the cloud to match the folders I made on my computer, I need to launch Graveyard Keeper, hit the Windows key to collapse the game, open my Graveyard Keeper game folder, make any changes I want to make (like adding or changing my own folders), go back to the running game, and then exit the game.

When the game shuts down, Galaxy then reads the folders on my computer and updates the cloud's folders.

It's the only way I have found where we can force the Galaxy cloud to sync-up with our computer folders and files. Otherwise, it just keeps changing our computer folders and files to match what it has on the cloud.

So again, to force Galaxy cloud to accept our folder changes, we need to make our changes when the game is running, and then shut down the game.

Just in case anyone was wondering how to force the Galaxy cloud to accept our changes.

Thanks for posting this. Saved my ass when I ran out of gog.com cloud sync space. I play xcom 2 war of the chosen and the save files are huge, plus the game doesn't have any retention for handling older saves. The only way I was able to clean this up so I can sync again was to open the game up and delete the saves while the game was running. Otherwise the cloud trys to sync back the deleted data.

GOG we really need some kind of sync management system for the saves so we can delete saves on both ends and the sync doesn't try to replace them. Otherwise most people are not going to know what to do.

Edit: Please note, that it does take 24 hours for changes like this to sync to GOG's cloud storage. So you might continue to get warnings about being over the 1GB limit until that period is up
