Having the store, "DEALS" above the "GAMES" lists makes me want to hide the entire store category form the sidebar. I do want to have it there, because I do use the GOG store. I am very much used to where I click to access my different bookmarks and they are much further down now.

Suggestion for improvement: Add an option to the Interface settings that lets you reorder the different categories of the sidebar: "GOG GALAXY", "FRIENDS", "DEALS" & "GAMES".

Came here because this change annoys me so much. I want my favorites *first*, above both the shop *AND* "Owned Games", "Installed" and "Subscriptions".

UI design is still an art people fail at in 2022. (Or they want to push the store… nah, CDPR isn't that evil. Right?)

I'm the same. Would occasionally use the store through the launcher though normally when looking through launcher stores I use the web versions. Now I've just hidden it. Would leave it up if we could customize the left side.

I've also found after todays update that they've not only stuck an unmovable "Discover" button at the top of the list but now all my games have had the Overview section moved down where I can't see it and replaced with a "Similar to this" box containing adverts.

Yes, ridiculous that the Overview section was moved and replaced with advertising.

This kind of a thing seems to be a trend with the last few updates. The lack of ability to customize / hide this type of advertising is not good.

The Discover button I'm okay with (if the placement could be customized) but the change to the game overview is just plain odd. C'mon GOG, it's called an "overview", it shouldn't be buried at the bottom of the game details screen below "Activity", "Friends Leaderboards" and now Similar Games. The similar games feature is okay-ish, it's the placement that messes everything up.

I agree that the games list should be on top of the menu, however, since you can customize the default page under Settings > General > Starting page, I rarely use the menu anyway. Just set it to Owned or Installed and it will open every time you start the launcher. I'm fine with that.
