kai2: Over the past week I've been re-installing a number of library games to a new drive. Initially things seemed to go well, but within the last day or two almost every game installation fails...
... some failing within seconds of starting downloads.
So, I try to uninstall and begin downloading / installing again...
... failed to uninstall!
(BTW, the "retry" installation button on the "warning sign" icon does not seem to do a thing.)
This has happened on 5 cued games consecutively.
So have all games failed?
No, the final game in my cue seems to be downloading and may potentially install (we'll have to see).
Not being able to install is one problem, but not being able to uninstall!?
I'm baffled.
Literally the EXACT same issue. For the past 2-weeks and I've been having a fucking absolute headache trying to figure out wtf is wrong with this stupid ass Galaxy 2.0 Client.
All I've come to that has gotten me at least to download Games up until 3%, from then on they stop and the Client disconnects from GOG-Servers and won't let me re-connect, until I restart and then over to 3% again... is that this stupid ass Client wasn't coded with Mandatory-ASLR Antivirus security-measures of Memory-Shuffling in-mind.
I overrode every instance of Mandatory-ASLR and set it to off. Which seems to get the Setup installer to stop giving the 0xc000005 or whatever the fuck ERROR so that the thing can at least install the Client.
Then however-- the issues with Downloading the Video-Games themselves comes along and fucks everything up. One can literally not install the Games from the Client, one has to download the Offline-Installer for each Game from the Browser-GOG which is fucking absolutely pointless to have a goddamn Client in the first place then.
People have such Low-Standards for CDPR that they settle with this mediocre bullshit and bugs for the Client, with Shoddy Forum-Workarounds that don't even Fix the fucking Client, but instead just tells you to use methods which negate the existence of the whole Desktop-Client itself...
Literally no other Platform, from LaunchBOX; Steam; Uplay (Ubisoft-Connect); Battle.net; Origin nor even fucking Epic-Games gives any of these shit Errors.
-and to make it all worse, every-time someone brings up this Fact- they get shot-down by braindead Coporate-Droid ConsOOOOOOOMer N.P.C.'s who all go through the Dialogue-tree of, "Don't ask Question, just conSOOOM Product"; "Well then go to those Platforms if they're so Good"; "Vote with your Wallet"; "Whine More" as if they're going to get some special-treat from CDPR for letting themselves get buttfucked.
Motherfucker, I AM VOTING WITH MY WALLET you braindead twat. That's why I chose to BUY GAMES ON GOG, however having a broken Desktop-Client which is defended as not-needing fixes, YESTERYEAR, when it clearly does is a sure way of doing to the whole Shop platform what happened to the shit game that is Cybergunk 7777.
