Yeah, we are back in business in Melbourne. That is good but it means our lovely government is doing nice spying on our online activities. I have tried another they when not worked with VPN and it worked when I connected to different countries but not in AU. I am feeling a bit itchy now, big brother is watching ;-).

I am not a network engineer but I don't think that VPN use fixing the problem demonstrates that the issue was due to the national security state's spying apparatus.

It is possible. I think it is a valid hypothesis. But I am not sure that it is a valid assumption.
