kabamaru_: Same problem here. I think it started with the last update.
clocutron: Don't think so. This has been going on for years. Every few months, it pops back up in dicussion but it's been happening consistently even back to v.1 of Galaxy. It seems to me that there's a core issue with the software that is continuously ignored while the devs keep bloating the program with more and more "features." If the dev team doesn't devote time to making sure it works and just focuses on adding more functionality, it will end up a clone of Steam - that is, another steaming pile of barely useable "features."
Honestly, Steam is rock solid for me. It's just the DRM I don't like. It has a sh*tload of features and yet feels much snappier than Galaxy, but most importantly it just works. I know Galaxy is in Beta, but it's like, what? Three years now? And like you said, they keep adding small stuff here and there and make cosmetic tweaks but the core functionality is still not reliable enough. It's a buggy mess. Like putting a lipstick on a pig. It has connectivity issues, it has updating issues, it has third party integration issues and the absolute worst thing is the bug reporting. You report a bug, you never get any update whatsoever, you can't see bug reports from other people. It just feels pointless to submit a report. Thank God the offline installers are still around.
Sorry for the rant.
