Tried changing a image on a specific game, and it keeps resetting to a bad image, even resetting to default didn't seem to do the trick. I also tried to find a folder where it stored these images but so far I was unable to find it, I thought it would be somewhere in Local, which didn't seem to be the case.

I'm having the same issue and seems to be with games purchased from GOG. Is there a fix to this yet?

Sounds like a bug, can you try to use a different image, like a small jpg and check if it works? You can upload it here and I'll check if it's a problem with the image verification.

Did you try restarting Galaxy after changing the image ? In my case it usually takes a restart for Galaxy to actually use the new image

It looks like a database synchronization / display refresh bug. After restarting Galaxy 2 my custom images on the grid are not displaying. I have to click on every single game (that I have uploaded a custom cover for) one by one and wait for ACTIVITY section to populate. Only then the cover refreshes and previously uploaded custom images reappears.

The same goes for the Edit menu.
If I right-click on the game on the grid view and go to Edit menu - > Materials there is only a default image shown (as if it never had a custom image). I have to view the particular game page first, wait for the details to populate only then the custom image reappears in the edit menu.

I think the bug is related to the long-known, never fixed bug coming from Galaxy 1, where in some cases after restarting Galaxy some game images on the left list (in the expanded view or compact view ) were not displaying at all until clicked on the particular game to see the game details. Only then Galaxy 1 forced the data synchronization for the particular game and populated the missing tile image, updating the game title name as well.

When a particular game had an update ready (auto-update off) it did not indicate the blue dot on the game list until you first clicked on the game. Having to click on every single game on the list to refresh the image and title name or to see if there is an update ready is really frustrating.
