I got mine as an extra with my purchase of Descent 1+2 here on GOG.
I searched the forums a bit to see if anyone else had the same avatar. I couldn't find anyone else who did at the time, so I kept it, because I love Descent, and I think it just looks neat.

I've been thinking of changing it recently... Just can't figure out what to change it to.

Mine is a character from a western book series by a Norwegian author called Louis Masterson (not his real name). Have used this for years, but only once it has been recognized.

Elite was the first game I got totally immersed in and I have been looking for similar games that give me the same feeling ever since. Haven't found quite the same experience yet though. :(

I was playing with a program called Xaos and one of the settings caused a glitch with my hardware. I thought it looked interesting and took a screenshot... I just happened to think the image looked well enough for an icon so I used that. >.>

Friends and I played with Simpsons' "Create Youself" character generator. I liked the result, so I have been using it since then. Keep it simple :).
