My original avatar was simply taken from the game Stacking, which I was playing at the time I decided to have an avatar.
Now I use one that is unique to myself. It is one of the photos I took of a novelty blow-up doll I used to play a prank on my other-half. It makes me laugh even today just looking at it.

The story of my avatar can be summed up most succinctly as the ugly duckling coupled with a stasis field. An avatar was born who was grey and kind of ugly, and one day it was sure to grow up into a beautiful avatar, but unfortunately it got stuck in time and couldn't grow up.

Never heard about this game, but it's probably a visual novel? If you never seen the anime, you should definitely try. It's about rapid technologisation of modern life, about if we define our machines or are we defined by them, the differences between the real life and the world wide web, modern society, etc etc. Main protagonist seems to be the only person who really understand what's going on.

I love the way it looks; it reminds me of a portrait. I consider it to be my favorite animal. I decided to draw a mustache on my current avatar and the one I had before which was also "Kickass Bat" (yes, that's what I call him; I've thought about trying to meet the person who took that photo). EDIT: I now know that the man who took the photo was Piotr Naskrecki.
