niniendowarrior: Mace: The Dark Age. Burdensome... hard to play... but I had some fun with it.
You're definitely not alone on that one. Great game.

As for me, I'm going with Fable 3. Awful PC port, easier than a free hooker, and streamlined to the point of being patronizing, but it's weird enough to be enjoyable. Whenever people speak of it compared to other games, they always seem to qualify bringing it up with "but it sucks," as though it's intended to be some epic game that competes with straightforward fantasy like Dragon's Age or The Elder Scrolls. Seeing it as the "light" game that it is, however, it's largely enjoyable with several memorable quests that make the whole thing worthwhile.

I find that incredibly hard to believe. LOL. If you like it, you definitely have seen my channel on Youtube.

Fuzzyfireball: Man, reading through this thread, I liked most games mentioned in here... though, knowing me that's not surprising I guess.

How about these:

Blood 2
Shogo
Powerslave (DOS version)
KKND series
Last Rites
Cybermage
Cyclones
Necrodome
Mageslayer
Claw
Take No Prisoners
Shadowcaster
Mortyr series
Gore: Ultimate Soldier
Terra Nova
Radix: Beyond the Void
Amok
I didn't even know anyone had heard of Shogo until I found it on this site. Then I still felt like the only person who bought it.

I am also going to add Septerra Core. I remember playing it back in the day, but I don't really remember where I played it. Bought that one on GOG too. :)

jefequeso: Erm... maybe Halflife 1? I'm sure there's someone on here who also liked it. I mean, it is one of the most loved FPSs of all time, right? But you wouldn't know that talking to most members.
Loved it.

AdamR: Sometimes I feel like the only guy around who likes Fallout 3.
Fallout 3 still stands as one of my favorite modern rpgs. I put about 120 hours into it and loved every minute. You are not alone.

F1ach: On the first mission there was a pick up item to help your hacking skill.

djranis: i guess i will give a go in future, the game really had potential and i even liked the shooting parts
Yeah its well worth another shot, theres a couple of enhancements you can get for hacking that really help and as regards the shooting, it really shines as you level up your skills.

Now this will be fun to reply to :p

Blood 2: great shooter, love it.

Shogo: same as above, great shooter (released with the same engine too)

Powerslave: hmm I love Egypt but this game didn't hit the right spot for me

KKND series: fun games but they lacked the addictive nature of C&C - mostly due to some frustrating missions.

Cybermage: very underrated game which was mostly let down because it needed a mouse and keyboard combo to play well and mouse people weren't used to that.

Cyclones: again a game that really needed a mouse and keyboard. This one isn't that good though although it has a great atmosphere. Big fan of the idea of the game, but the levels were poorly designed. If it hadn't been for that, this should have been a classic.

Take No Prisoners: my favorite top down shooter.

Mortyr series: meh. Great idea, great graphics at the time let down by horrible respawning and a load of other flaws. I wanted to like it but I couldn't.

Terra Nova: truly brilliant Mech-style game and you just gave me an idea of what game I could be playing this week.

My brother actually bought that for my birthday in 1998 or so - it wasn't a bad game actually! Compared to most other tycoon games (it really was essentially Porn Tycoon) it was actually a bit better. My brother collected adult comics called "Rode Oortjes" and Wet: Sexy Empire was designed by one of the artists from Rode Oortjes so I'm not surprised he bought it for me - he played it more than I did!
Duke Nukem Forever

RAGE

Sonic Unleashed (HD version)

I consider the games above to be good games and all 3 of them got a lot of unwarranted flack
- Republic : The revolution - Not perfect but the mood and the core gameplay mechanics of this game are unique, it just beggs to be improved and expanded, which will never happen any time soon.

- Messiah - Probably one of the best 3rd person game I played so far.

- Sengoku Basara : Samurai Heroes - I really love beat'em all like this one, such a shame I'm among such a minority that crapcom decided to stop release them outside of Japan.

- Final Fantasy 13 : I don't mind running in corridors and fight monsters all the time, snobs pay monthly fees to do it in most MMOs, plus I like the actual story.

- Fallout 3 : Well because its still enjoyable as a game but perhaps not as much as a fallout ?
