Two Worlds, Earth 2100s series, Knights and Merchants, and other top Topware classics 60% off

[url=http://www.gog.com/gamecard/jack_orlando_a_cinematic_adventure_dc]Jack Orlando is one of those adventure game characters that are a little bit obscure, but people that had the pleasure of meeting them, remember them very fondly. He's a private investigator that has seen better days, but now is down on his luck and looks for some relief in the whiskey bottle a little too often. Stains on his trademark trench coat suggest that he spent yet another night dozing off in some back alley, too drunk to get home from the bar, too broke to get a cab. But he's one of the good guys. He's actually the one to show some moral fiber in the city that consumes the poor, corrupts the innocent, and spits out the weak. Too bad he ended up in a wrong place at the wrong time and got accused of murder. With only 48 hours to clean his name, Jack has to solve his toughest case yet. Come on, help the guy out. It'll cost you only $2.39 to get the Director's Cut version of his story in our Topware Classics promo.

Or would you rather take a plunge into a fantastic realm quite different than our reality? The magical land you'll be visiting in Two Worlds: Epic edition should easily satisfy all your escapism needs with its vast and lush gameworld, visuals that remain quite impressive even today, and a well-told story that often lets you digress from its main thread. The Epic Edition we offer you, comes bundled with the game's both expansions: Tainted Blood and Curse of Souls. Yours for only $3.59!

Fantasy not really your thing? Well, how about some hard science fiction, then? Earth 2140 Trillogy, Earth 2150 Trillogy, Earth 2160--or the Earth 21-something series, as we like to call it--offer top-notch RTS gameplay in a gritty futuristic setting, at $2.39 each! But, of course, that's not all of the excellent titles you can find 60% off in our Topware Classics Promo this weekend, so head out to the promo page and pick your favorites. The offer lasts until Tuesday, April 2, at 4:59AM GMT.

As usual, below you'll find a new episode of This Week on GOG, a short video guide to recent events, promos, and other happenings on the site. By the way, if you haven't already, you might want to follow the GOG.com channel on Youtube, so you won't miss our shows, specials, and exclusive trailers.

Course I do, mate. Just somewhere here bizarrely thought my accent sounded Bostonian.

htown1980: I know none of these games...

Accatone: I know some of these games! :)

Hey, your avatar is from Digger, right? I love that game!
I'll have to do some research. Any recommendations?

Yup, its digger. Probably a game I played more than any other when I was a small person (along with Alley Cat, Jump Joe and Moon Patrol) :)
Good promo, even better is the price for me to complete it, $0.00!

(yeah, I already bought everything earlier)

That is the one that interest me the most but I've heard the save system is pretty sporatic.

Quick look at the Enclave forums shows that the game saves after each mission, and mid mission there may be some checkpoints available, to respawn there. If you quit the game mid-mission, you will have to start from the mission's beginning.
Sounds like Assassin's Creed tbh.

I live less than two hours away from Boston and I speak normally, unlike most of the rest of you I suspect. ;-)
Enclave I will be picking up. Hack and slash from the good folks at Starbreeze who brought us the Riddick games? Yeah, I'll give that a shot. For a little over two bucks it's hard to go wrong. The game is said to have some issues with hit detection making some fights a pain in the ass it sounds like and some other problems but I can probably see past this stuff given the price to try it out. Here is a quote from the Gamespot review about the limited save system and difficulty of the game:

"Enclave was an extremely difficult game on the Xbox, and its difficulty has been toned down in the PC version so that enemies don't kill you with a single blow, but you'll still suffer severe damage when hit by unseen traps for the first time, and you'll most likely find the game's limited save-game system to be frustrating. You can save only at predetermined safe areas, which, in certain levels, are few and far between. Make a wrong move or get mobbed by too many enemies, and you'll be sent all the way back to your previous save point."

So it sounds like saves could be more frequently available, hit detection is sloppy but they toned down the difficulty. This probably falls into the flawed gem category. I notice the user score of 481 votes averaged out to 7.8 out of a possible 10. Metacritic score was 71 based on 15 reviews. So it probably isn't too bad, just not as good as it could have and should have been.

Again though, for two bucks I can live with less than perfect.

F4LL0UT: Also: decent promo but already got everything I'm interested in.
Same here.
So, 2150 the way to go with the 2100 series?

the_bard: So, 2150 the way to go with the 2100 series?
Absolutely.
Just purchased Knight&Merchants, I've heard quite a lot of positive comments about this one.
Apart from Enclave and Gorky 17/Odium (which I already own here), there isn't anything I'm particularly interested in.

Thank you, GOG - keep up the good job.
Can't quote cause I'm on the mobile. Will +1 when I get back to a terminal. How is Knights and Merchants? That's the only other title I'm interested in atm. Thanks.
