Superfrog, Alien Breed + Tower Assault, Tropico 3 Gold Edition, Worms 1&2, Cultures series and more 60% off!

Sometimes, we just like to open our treasure chest, grab a handful of great games, and throw them up in the air. Then we dance like mad people, jump around, and laugh as the games rain down on our heads like awesome digital confetti. Then, whatever falls inside a circle we've painted on the floor, we pick up and put on weekend promo. This week's lucky winners are Team 17 classics and strategy games from Kalypso Media. Let's take a quick look at our--let's stick to that--selection of the games you can get 60% off in the [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/kalypso_team_17_weekend_promo_090813]Team 17 and Kalypso Mix weekend promo, shall we?

Team 17 brings in a solid serving of nostalgic fun to the table. Look! Is it a strange little green bird? Is it a tiny plane with a red cape tied around it's cabin for some reason? No! It's ! This classic platformer of the early 16-bit era comes with so many memories, that whoever had the pleasure of playing it in the past, will instantly feel warm and fuzzy inside. All those who haven't played it before can now leap right into the arcade history spanning across 24 colorful levels, for only $2.39! What else from Team 17? [url=http://www.gog.com/game/worms_united]Worms United and Worms 2 managed to wiggle their way into the promo easily, even though some of them got squished while crossing the road overtaken by the World Rally Fever. All the games mentioned here can be yours for only $2.39 each!

From Kalypso, something to go with this summer's tropical heat: Cultures 1+2, an exploration-focused RTS series where you help a Viking tribe on they conquests around the world, you'll get the chance to cool off a bit before your brave warriors decide to invade some place near the equator. Both games can be yours for only $3.99 each.

That's not all. More titles await on our promo page, so make sure you go there and take a look. The promo lasts until Tuesday, August 13, at 3:59AM GMT. Have a great weekend!
Some good games here always enjpyed alien breed myself but pc version no where as good as the amiga one.
My wallet is safe this week aswell

But would have bought if Worms World party had been released ;D
good promo.....STOP what i am saying?
this is one of the worst imo.
only Port Royal and the Tropico games promise some fun.
GOG seriously needs Armageddon and/or World Party.
Good games in there. Port Royale, Patrician, Tropico. Although I have newer iterations of all of them already.

Ghorpm: Strategies are my second biggest group of unfinished games. And the winner is... RPG. Seriously, I should stop buying them. The problem is it usually take more time to beat an average RPG than any other game. I've just recently beaten Geneforge 2 (it's an excellent game!) and I don't even remember when I started it.

Zoltan999: I hear ya. While more often than not, I finish the majority of the good strategy games I start, I'd hate to count the number of RPG's I started, put some serious time into, then "took a break", and never got back to finish them. My biggest problem with RPG's is I tend to be a "completionist", and I wear myself out trying to find/do everything, then, as a result, grow a bit weary, and take a breather...while I really mean to come back and finish, I just never seem to actually do just that :-/.
I think so far I finished every RPG (from GOG) I had started. And that's ~20 games. Sometimes it took me... a year (I'm looking at you, Baldur's Gate) and it's not a big problem for me. Even if take a break for several months I usually remember what should I do after coming back. Perhaps not immediately but an hour is enough to refresh my memory. Baldur's Gate 2 is on hold at the moment...
hmm.. 3 games to choose from ...have to think. Nice promo.
Which Worms game should I get ? Of all the 3 on GOG, I only ever played the first one, but I don't remember if I liked it or not . Wish we had Armageddon...
Some pretty good games, thankfully I own almost all I'm really interested in. Only grabbed Forts and Body Blows today.
Aside from improved graphics; is there any reason to buy/prefer Tropico 3 over Tropico ReLoaded (1+2)?
Hey, when was the last time Bloodrayne was on sale? I mean, besides the summer and winter sales.
One of the few times im not really interested in any of the games...
I like base building style RTSs (like Age of Empires), how Port Royale and Cultures are compared?

Can't speak well for 1+2 to 3, but I know if you're planning on getting Tropico 4 then you might as well skip 3.

Port Royale is nothing like Age of Empires, it's a trading game a la Sid Meier's Pirates! but far more trading focused than the swashbuckler style Pirates! has.

I love the Tropico games and like Patrician. How similar is Port Royale to either of those or is it like the reviews on the gamecard say and its more similar to Pirates than any other game?

Edit: Just saw the post directly above this one after I posted. That pretty much tells me what I was asking. Thanks Pheace!
