What's is a balanced gaming diet? As we understand it, it should be composed of a solid main course, and something lighter for dessert. In our Strategy First catalog it's not hard to compose such a delicious meal. One of the deep and complex strategy games would serve as the main course, and there's plenty of action games to go with them. If just one plate leaves you hungry for more, there's no point in denying yourself seconds. Everything on the menu is 60% off, this weekend. We know you'd like to go ahead and dig in, so let's just name a few dishes from our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/strategy_first_weekend_promo_270913]Strategy First and Seconds weekend promo, shall we?
We've got games from the Jagged Alliance series, if you like army rations served with a rich turn-based tactical sauce. We've got Space Empires IV Deluxe and O.R.B. Offworld Resource Base, if your taste in strategy calls for something otherworldly exotic. There's also some hot and spicy auto racing in , for those of you who like fast food. Finally, there's some all-time American favorites smelling of grilled beef, BBQ sauce, and popcorn in [url=http://www.gog.com/game/pro_pinball_big_race_usa]Pro Pinball: Big Race USA. What a delight!
Sounds yummy, doesn't it? But that's only a small taste! Go to our Strategy First and Seconds promo page to sample the whole 60% off buffet! The promo lasts until Tuesday, October 1, at 3:59AM GMT. Don't miss out on the feast!
Disciples 1 is hardcore. That game will eat you for breakfast.
Woohoo! None of these games appeal to me! I get to keep my money one more day! Thank you GOG!

tinyE: I just noticed Sacred has a bonus of a map. Those aren't too hard to google for, but that is still a very nice bonus, and without having yet seen it I would assume it's a lot nicer than most of the others out there.
It's a .pdf of this: http://pctalk.info/Games/Sacred2/Wolfes.Lair/SacredUnderworld/Misc/Maps/DragonMap.jpg but much, much, much better quality. Pretty nice, actually, although I do wish it were an image file.
11 games added to my library.

tinyE: Question: Love Port Royale 1 (thought I could never get the property ownership thing) how does #2 stack up?

Statement: People who don't jump on Sacred Gold must be flogged with a giant piece of bacon!!! I already own it and I'm STILL getting it so I no longer have to worry about losing the disc (which I do). Yes, it's that good! :D
I agree, there are so few games I've got around to completing, but I did dedicate enough time to complete sacred gold a few years back so it must be good.
Damn, I want too many of these

I have a confession to make, I've never actually completed a game. :P All the characters are so different and all so much fun so I get close to finishing and start thinking, "The Vampire would be cool right now!" so I start over with the Vampire, get almost to the end and think, "Look at all the cool weapons the Dark Elf gets to use!" so I start over...AGAIN!

I played through as the vampire, but that does raise the possibility that I could play again as another character and see how that changes the game play. Though I have so many other games to play as well.
Leaning towards Ghost Master, Disciples 1+2, Sacred Gold, and Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord.

I remember wanting to play Ghost Master when it came out... but my PC wasn't fast enough at the time (haha). I hope it lives up to the years of waiting.

Well, the pixelated Cthulhu and the guy that looks like Mickey Knox (as well as the price) have convinced me. Picked up Sacred Gold (I've had it wishlisted for a while) and Patrician III (impulse).

Excellent choices . Ghost Master if a fun game, but not for everyone. Watch some clips of it on Youtube before you buy .
Nothing for me this week.. Guess will buy DK+DD instead.
Already own the ones I really want (for a good while now). Port Royale 2 is slightly tempting, but I suppose I should try playing the predecessor in my backlog first to find out if I even like the game enough.

Also, every time I see Space Empires IV I'm kind of torn. Seems like there's a ton to do in this game. I love a good 4x space game, but this just seems like I'd get lost in its complexities.

Still hoping for an eventual GalCiv 2 GOG release.
Oh GOG, what marvelous work you do! - Are you single?

This is going down as one of my favourite promos so far! Disciples 1, Disciples 2 and Sacred Gold are all amazing games with TONS of replay. I'm neck deep in Rogue Legacy offspring right now, but these will be the next up on my playlist. Thanks again, GOG! (But seriously, are you seeing anyone?)

Now I just have to workout if Mickey Knox is the actor or the character from natural born killers (which I must dig out and watch, it must be 15 or more years since I've seen it).
