NORAD HEADQUARTERS
EMERGENCY BULLETIN

BREAK BREAK BREAK

NORAD HEADQUARTERS HAS DETECTED SUSPICIOUS TRANS-DIMENSIONAL ACTIVITIES ON SENSORS; SUSPECTED INFESTATION OF NONCORPOREAL ALIENS IMMINENT

Prepared remarks from CENTCOMHQ
Good Morning, Gentlemen

As of 0615 hours this morning, we have confirmed massive signs of a noncorporeal invasion force that is determined to directly hijack our entertainment and slowly invade everyone's minds. Fast work by some of our Unusual Circumstances SpecOps team has funneled these aliens into a containable area, though. We have managed to secure them in [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/square_enix_weekend_promo_130913]a select list of video games--specifically titles like Deus Ex, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Thief™ Gold, , and [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/square_enix_weekend_promo_130913]a few more--and the non-corporeal aliens are currently inhabiting the enemy A.I. routines. That means we can find them, we can fight them, and we can kill them.

The space-time rift that the aliens are using to invade is unstable and our physicists project that it will close on Monday the 16th September at 23:59.59 Eastern Time. CENTCOM has arranged for a video game retailer to steeply discount the usual price of these titles to facilitate intervention--they're all 60% off for the duration of the invasion.

You've been contacted because you're part of the elite few who can handle an assignment like this: we need you to buy these games, install them, get in there, and kick some alien butt. The world's counting on you, soldier.

Go get 'em.

TRANSMISSION ENDS
How about ordering the promo list alphabetically? It seems weird that consecutive games in a series are not next to each other, and out of sequence to boot.
Great sale, GOG! I would pick up a game or two, but I have limited funds and really want HIB 9.

Stooner: Tomb Raider with vampires, maybe? ;p

ofsaturn: I'm almost afraid to admit this, but I've not played any of the Tomb Raider series either. ((o_o))
Any chance there is another series it's similar to?
Maybe Darksiders?

ErekoseDM: is Square going to invade GOG with Hitman: Blood Money (2006) ?

or should i just hunt it down for a console >_<
(this isnt the one thats just 2 new levels and a remake of the original right)
You can buy Blood Money on GG. Or were you talking about Contracts ?

i was aiming for Hitman: Blood Money which is on yet another special on Amazon right now + Hitman Absolution Professional.

GOG's got the first 2
3 is apparently a remake / between game thing.
so #4. Hitman: Blood Money at least on GOG would be some hopeful news or confirmed 'shiiii thats not gonna pop up for X unknown value of time + another merger of square's'.

mainly id much rather have a mouse for shooting, but would 1000x prefer drm-free over steam.
this might get me to dust off the old console, or buy a 'new' used ps3 once this new wave pops up and the prices dip even lower.

double checked GGs Hitman: Blood Money = DRM:SecuROM :(

Well... Securom isn't that bad...
Everyone should at least pick up LoK: Soul Reaver 1&2, they're amazing. And Defiance too while you're at it, not as good sadly but you'll want to finish the story. Blood Omen 2 can be skipped

I'm on the fence about Hitman: Codename 47. I already have the collection for X360, so is there any point in picking up the first? Because if I understood correctly, Hitman: Contracts is remake of it?
Roger that, HQ.
Ready to commence.

Tarhiel out.
So many great sales this week all over the place! Looks like its finally time to get Anachronix off the wishlist. :)
I've heard Urban Chaos has a lot of control issues. Are there any unofficial or official fixes or patches for it? It looks very fun.
You should get the port of Final Fantasy 7, unless Steam owns all the rights to it. Also, a deal with Konami for Metal Gear Solid and that compilation of the NES Contra and Castlevania games.

Vote for those games in the community wishlist.
Final Fantasy 7
Konami Collectors series Castlevania and Contra
Metal Gear Solid
I'm so getting Eden!

The rest of the stuff I want are sequels so I'll hold off 'til I beat the first games :D

P1na: Maybe Darksiders?
Ah, now that I have played! (Or maybe it was the second one?) It was a pretty good, as I recall.
