Already got Darkstar One, and retail f Sacred Gold, however getting rid of the Starforce or whatever DRM there is on it is rather tempting...
Eeeeeeeh okay I'll get Sacred. The retail version of it I have is tucked away in a drawer somewhere in a different house, in a different part of the country.
Edit: And it has nasty-ass DRM. Yuck.

Damn! I didn't know retail Sacred Gold has Starborked. According to glop.org, Sacred Underworld has a patch to remove Starbork. Anyone know if this works for Sacred Gold too?

Dunno about that patch. It's been a couple years since I last played it though. Got so pissed because I couldn't find out where to go somewhere in the expansion.
As far as I've seen, Retail Sacred Gold has no DRM. Only CD key ID for multiplayer. Great hack'n'slash game by the way. A little bland n the plot, but SinglePlayer is not where the real fun is (this coming from a primary SP game player).

Idem.
Sacred looks "Diabloish."
Is that how it plays... Dungeon Crawler.
If so... I'm very tempted. Depends if people in teh community play the game online. :)

I sat 30 seconds trying to figure out what you mean, then Googled. I have no clue. My current state of mind says:
WAT.

Same style of gameplay as Diablo, but with a bit different skill system and more varied characters. The land isn't random generated though.

Bah, I just bought them when I heard that Ascaron were in trouble, worried that it could be a now-or-never situation. Oh well, these things happen I guess and its not that much money I'd have saved anyway.

I'll take a stab in the dark and suggest "It doesn't even matter". Its the only one I thought of that makes any sort of sense in context, I mean "I don't eat monkeys" or "Idiots deliberately envy motors" would just be mad.
For those who really don't know but would like to... "Idem" means "the same" in Latin.
Back on topic, indeed, Sacred's areas aren't randomly generated; however, there is an outstanding number of side-quests and critters level with the PC.

Nice! I love me some Loot Grabbing Dungeon Crawlers!
I can't stop playing Phantasy Star Portable right now.
I'm definitely going to be looking into this one!

I don't think Sacred is a dungeon crawler... It's more like Diablo II: mostly, you're out in the open, but go underground every now and then.
There are some dungeons you HAVE to visit (for quests), but most of them (and there are many!) are optional.

It was more of a broader genre statement...
Diablo II doesn't have a lot of dungeons, but it plays the same as a dungeon crawler.
It was more a comment on how the game plays rather than the games envirionments.
:)
Oh, I see.
Then, I'm sure you'd be pleased with it ;-).
(Heck, I'm starting to sound like an Ascaron/GOG PR guy...)
I remember playing an excessive number of hours with it... and am currently planning to get back to playing it!
