Gothic series, The Book of Unwritten Tales, Panzer Elite, Painkiller, Aquanox 1 and 2, and more, 60% off!

This weekend we've prepared for you a promo featuring some very [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/nordic_games_weekend_promo_140613]Notable Nordic Games! Looking at the catalog of titles available on GOG.com via the publisher Nordic Games, one just cannot miss the fact how exeptional some of them are. Just look! There's one of the most notable RPG sagas. There's one of the FPS games most notable for its old-school gameplay. There's a war game notable for being one of the few tank simulation games. There's an adventure dilogy notable for brilliantly spoofing the fantasy genre as a whole. Everywhere you look--an exceptional game that deserves appreciation. Hence the promo title: Notable Nordic Games. Let's take a quick look at two of them, shall we?

The Book of Unwritten Tales references almost all imaginable popular fantasy worlds, that you visited in your books, movies, and games. It comes in the form of a classic point-and-click adventure with impressive and detailed visuals, quirky characters, and professional voice acting. Whether you're a Terry Pratchett reader, a WoW player, or a fan of Peter Jackson's vision of Lord of The Rings, you'll have a blast discovering all the references the game's creators are making here. On top of that, by the Great Rule Of Fantasy Sagas, so zealously followed by many writers, filmmakers, and game developers, there is a sequel!

The Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles could do just fine by only copying its predecessor. After all--that's what many successful sequels do. The creators, however, made damn sure to give you a plethora of fresh and funny ideas, a cast of new crazy characters, and plenty of previously unseen locations. Both games are available in English and German versions, for Windows and Mac, and the price is only $7.99 for each!

That's merely scratching the surface, of course! Head out to the promo page to browse the full list of games you can grab 60% off until Tuesday, June 18, at 3:59AM GMT.

Huge sale. My favorite Book of Unwritten Tales series.
Painkiller: Black Edition and Gothic 2 are must-buys. Others worth looking at are The Spellforce and Nations series, as well as Panzer Elite Special Edition. Neighbours from Hell can be amusing too, as a sort of casual game.
Already have Painkiller and all the Gothic and Spellforce series and adventures aren't my cup of tea. Someone wants try to sell Alien Nations to me?
Nice one:)
Another promo with nothing that I want, I suppose that's good for my bank account.
Damn you GOG, why do you make me spend money when I have none! T_T

Nah, you guys are amazing! :)

I'll start playing it today (I got it long time ago) so I will tell you what I think about it before promo ends.
This Week in GOG is where?
Already have everything I want, but no problem, I am running out of money anyways. xD
I might pick up Neighbors from Hell though it kind of looks like a Ghost Master clone.

Should be up in a few minutes, they seem to have forgotten it again.

mrking58: I may pick up Aquanox just it looks good.

Who said that there was going to be a summer slae?

RS1978: Nobody said it, but there is some probability.
So as in next week, are we saying any day next week, or next weekend being the summer sale? In terms of probability :)
Okay guys I want your opinion. Once term is over I'm having an FPS Marathon, games I haven't played only.
I'm not necessarily looking for quality here (Duke Nukem Forever is on my list) but I do want games that are interesting, some variety among the games (hard with FPS I know).

So should I pick up Chaser now? Like I said I'm not out for high-quality but I've read Chaser has a lot of rapid-spawn-areas (where enimes just spawn over and over until you do x that the game wants) I hate those more than anything else in FPS games.
Should I risk the frustration? Or not waste my $2:39? Your thoughts, thank you.

2012 summer sale started on June 18th. In 2011 the Interplay Staycation started on June 20th as I recall, then from beginning of July we had a daily Gem promo.
But GOG does like to keep us on our toes.

There was a hint from a staff member in the Pandemonium 2 release thread. Plus only two releases this week and the missing hint for the upcoming release? Time would fit to the beginning of last year's Summer Sale as well.
