Barry_Woodward: Pyst
avatar
the_bard: There's one named Pyst? Surely they were taking the pys? -__-
It's a parody made by disgruntled gamers who hated the original Myst. If I recall correctly, the premise is essentially that you're wandering around the original Myst island, but with a flamethrower.
Anyone else have weird issues with Manhole? i've had weird screen glitches (and all different depending on whether I'm on my XP, Vista, Win 7 machines). I'm pretty sure it's a user issue (I'm pretty stupid) but never heard anything back on forums.
Is there a script that I can download for Myst? I am a gamer who is deaf and Myst does not seem to have subtitles available to me.

Any ideas?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyst
The basic concept of Pyst was to show what Myst Island (from the best-selling game) would look like after four million people (players) had visited and "explored". Pyst Island is full of litter, most of the buildings are ruined, and graffiti reveals secret doors and solutions to puzzles that challenged players in Myst.

Hahahahaha I'll have to see if I can track down an LP of this. That is when I feel the need to take a break from Eador of course. :D

Aww, Myst promos always make me all misty inside. I'll have to break open the boxset again I think... damn I've got a thing for this series.
I'd definitely buy Pyst though!

It was made by a company called Parroty Software who... "specialized"... in making parody game packs. Some of their work includes Star Warped (which I own, but have never opened), The X-Fools, and Micro$haft Winblows 98.

He was, he even has a single song in the game.

I bought a copy of it ages ago and sold it for a pretty penny. Then I found a sealed copy last year and it's worth nothing now. :P

StingingVelvet: I never played past Riven and call me a jerk but I don't want to buy 5 without having 3 and 4 first.
That's totally reasonable i do the same thing
Myst has been on my wishlist since the days of the PSX, but I never got around to buying it. Well, rather later than never, I'm taking advantage of this promo and giving the first one a try.
