Stronghold Crusader HD, Empire Earth series, Space Colony, Evil Genius, and more of the fall's finest 60% off!

The evenings are getting longer and the summer sun is waning. All the signs are there: autumn is coming. It's only adequate then, that this weekend the prices on GOG.com will fall like golden leaves. Go ahead and take a look at our Autumn Assortment of 27 titles, all 60% off until Tuesday, September 9, at 3:59AM GMT. Let's take a peek at some of the titles!

Stronghold HD and Stronghold Crusader HD both feature a finely balanced mixture of "castle sim" and a challenging real-time strategy game, set in the turbulent Middle Ages. Evil Genius gives you the chance to become an old-school Bond movie villain (only this time, the evil mastermind's plan to take over the world hangs mostly on you), plotting away in his secret island fortress. With plenty of tongue-in-cheek humor the game will give you a tour of all the fun spy thriller clichés. For a more hands on approach to problem solving you can always join the Commandos, a hand-picked group of the army's finest, on their daunting World War II missions. To succeed, your elite squad needs to follow a carefully developed plan, that plays to the strengths of individual soldiers and masterfully synchronizes their attacks.

Not enough? Then have a look at all the awesome games featured in our Autumn Assortment, all 60% off until Tuesday, September 9, at 3:59AM GMT.

If you browse the promo page carefully, there is one game there with a bit higher 66% discount. Constructor is unfortunately waving a (hopefully temporary) bye-bye to GOG.com, as the rights to the game are changing hands. This is your chance to get it for only $1.99 before we have to pull it off of our shelf.
Sad to see another (good old) game leave the catalogue. Hope it will return one day.

Think I will pick up a gift code for Constructor (for a future giveaway) and Mob Rule for myself.

Are you sure you want to buy Mob Rule?

mrking58: Are you sure you want to buy Mob Rule?
Yes, I think so. I like games with gangster themes. Besides that I once owned a retail copy of the game and even if I don't remember it too well, I think it was an ok game that I enjoyed for quite a while.
Rights changing hands. Well, I guess it might be a complicated matter to deal with.
A few things:
Lords of the Realm 3 says RTS but it looks a lot like TBS. Anyone?

Second, is Sniper Elite as impossible as the reviews make out?

Third, and most important:
IF YOU DON'T HAVE THEM BUY BUY BUY THE COMMANDOS AND STRONGHOLD GAMES!!!!!! GET THEM ALL AND PLAY THEM AND CHERISH THEM AND LOVE THEM, FOR THEY ARE TIMELESS AND BEAUTIFUL!!!

Zoidberg: In the lights of that post scriptum, I wonder: any time rights change hands, the products linked will be removed from the catalog?

To who do they change here? The new holders can't move their ass faster so that the game doesn't have to be removed from catalog? That way of doing is bad for the new holder's image... that appears quite silly to my eyes.
My assumption would be that the new rights holder is one not on GOG already.

Lords of the Realm 3 is RTS I can assure you that. You have a strategic map with realtime building and unit movement and tactical map with real time battles. Only tactical map has bad pathfinding so I just usually use auto resolve.

Meh. That's all I gotta say about this one. Nothing we haven't seen or already been through.
Nice ones, will get a few of them!

OdanUrr: Actually, Spring is coming here. =P
No Winter is coming.

JMich: The End of a Weke. And Weke is a species of fish from what I can gather.

phaolo: So, a Weke's tail? Eww XD
In Dutch that would be a duck that wakes you up. ;P (wekken = to wake someone up, eend = duck).
Already picked the best fruit from this sale. Might have to grab Constructor though, since it's departing. Is the gameplay better than the graphics?

Oh, I'd like a duck pet that wakes me up instead of the alarm clock ^_^

No wait, in my sleep I'd probably use it as another pillow lol.

No. A change in rights holder does not automatically result in removal from GOG in all cases. There have been examples of the rights holder changing but the product remaining on GOG (i.e. Stardock acquired Master of Orion series in Atari bankruptcy but left it here, actually no Atari bankruptcy changes impacted GOG). It's also said that Arx Fatalis belongs to Bethasoft/Zenimax but remains on GOG because new holders are honoring a prior agreement.

In the case of Constructor, I ca't see the new rights holder expecting much from a 17 year old sim - it seems much better suited for GOG's user base than Steam or elsewhere.
Is Constructor similar to SimCity, or is it something different? I was thinking about picking it up.

EDIT: Also, is Mob Rule leaving as well?
