Master of Orion 1+2, Rollercoaster Tycoon series, Blood 1&2, and other timeless Atari classics 60% off!

There's a few companies out there that contributed as much to the evolution of computer games as Atari did. In the 8-bit era their games and hardware helped to define the course for electronic entertainment, and gave us one of the first successful home consoles dedicated to gaming. In time, the brand went through many changes, as it adapted new roles in the ever-changing landscape of the games industry. In whatever form--it always existed, and soldiered on, whatever the odds. as one of the few constants. Today, we want to celebrate this pioneering label. Here's our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/atari_weekend_promo_220313]Atari! Atari Promo!

ale81drummer: BLOOD is one of my favorite FPS games of all time. Just ignore the sequel. Trust me.

GameRager: Blood 2 is awesome sauce....don't listen to this fool. 9____9
I wanted to like Blood 2, I really did...but my God, does that game annoy me. I'd put it on the same level as Daikatana in terms of annoyances. And like Daikatana, there were flashes of a good game visible among the needlessly infuriating parts.

But for all of its robo-frogs and metal mosquitoes, not even Daikatana had the nerve to throw enemies at me like the Bone Leeches of Blood 2.

FoxZero: Alright! Gonna grab Master of Orion and I-War at last! Might get Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 as well.

Krush and Kill is a little tempting as well. The other major releases I already have. :D

tinyE: XD We almost have the same shopping list. I considered MoO but I'm really in a "Non Thinking" vibe right now; lots of Postal and lots of K&K! Do you have ID War 2? I prefer it to #1 though some folks may tell you I'm crazy.
Maybe I'll grab both I-Wars. I wasn't planning on playing MoO anytime soon. Sometimes I like a good turn base game. I feel ya on Postal lol.

K&K might be my thing. I just can't stand the zerg mentality of modern RTSs. Last one I played was Supreme Commander 2 and I'm too slow for that game.
Great promo! Fantastic set from Atari.

Just bought Moonbase Commander. Never played it before but it looks good.

I'd recommend:

Total Annihilation
Roller Coaster Tycoon
Outcast
Alone in the Dark 123
KKND
Silver
Desperados
Pirates! GOLD
Colonization
Master of Orion
Master of Magic
Darklands

Can't go wrong with any (or all) of them! Seriously, throw your money at the screen!
Was about to buy Blood 2 (one more time) but just remember the bugs. Search the forums and they are still there. It's a pass then... so I may go with Blood 1... by now

Now I'm thinking about a Rollercoaster game. Can you believe I never played one? I played Theme park, theme hospital... but no rollercoaster tycoon. I still want to play a game like theme park, that was an awesome game!. I'm considering RC1 over RC 2 mainly because they look the same and the price of RC1 is too great to pass

Other game I'm thinking about is Outcast... another game I didn't play back in the day. The price is awesome, but I doubt I'll be playing it, I don't know if it's my kind of game.

Total Annihilation. I can't remember hoy many hours, DAYS I played that game back then!. I don't think I'll be playing that game again, but It will be nice to have it again.

From the whole list, I recommend MoM. What a beautiful game!. I still hope someone develop a game like that, with that kind of depth. I'm playing Warlock... is a great game, but is FAR from MoM. I heard Fallen Enchantress is on the same league... but the next (the standalone), legendary heroes, will be better, so I'll wait for it

MoM is indeed awesome and like that other guy I can also say that without rose glasses, I only discovered it like 4 years ago and loved it.You can really notice its from the same guys that made Master of Orion. Very good games.
But someone called Alexey Bokulev did heed your call for development of such a game, its here on gog, Eador of course.
We need a different metaphore. :)

Sounds promising... I have finally purchased MoM and MOO 1+2 so look forward to trying them out, along with a few others:)

Great promo!

Aonyone know how to install the RTC 1 addon stuff to RTC 2? I've got the correct download here but I'm not real cerebral with this kind of thing. Thanks
Buyed KKnD Xtreme and all the RCT games (these 3 as a digital backup). Someone knows if Master of Orion has a demo?

I heartily recommend Total Annihilation: Kingdoms, if only for the lengthy campaign and the marvelous storytelling, the latter being a true rarity in the RTS games.
Edit: Thanks to a generous GOGger I don't need the games I asked for anymore.

I want to get Master of Orion as a complete collection, what is so wrong with number 3 that people hate is as much as they do in the reviews?
Good and huge promo. But I already have everything I want from it.
