Master of Orion 1+2, Rollercoaster Tycoon series, Blood 1&2, and other timeless Atari classics 60% off!

There's a few companies out there that contributed as much to the evolution of computer games as Atari did. In the 8-bit era their games and hardware helped to define the course for electronic entertainment, and gave us one of the first successful home consoles dedicated to gaming. In time, the brand went through many changes, as it adapted new roles in the ever-changing landscape of the games industry. In whatever form--it always existed, and soldiered on, whatever the odds. as one of the few constants. Today, we want to celebrate this pioneering label. Here's our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/atari_weekend_promo_220313]Atari! Atari Promo!

It's just amazing to see how many excellent titles that we offer you comes from Atari! Such classics as Master of Orion 1+2, and Master of Magic, one of the most memorable strategy games of all times, or Star Control 1+2, a space opera that kept us playing for weeks--that's in the oldies department. There's also and [url=http://www.gog.com/gamecard/blood_2_the_chosen_expansion]Blood 2: The Chosen, two gore-fest games that put many horror shooters to shame up to this day. All those, and many, many more games are available 60% off this weekend. Check the Atari! Atari promo page to see the whole list. The promo lasts until Tuesday, March 26, at 5:59AM GMT.

As usual, below you'll find a new episode of This Week on GOG, a short video guide to recent events, promos, and other happenings on the site. Noo! And I was holding out so well against spending more money until my backlog cleared!

I have failed in this quest, and am going to end up getting I don't know how many games. MoM, MOO, SM's Colonisation, Darklands...My poor backog will never be clear again!
Recommending:

MoM
MoO 1+2
Total Annihilation: Commander Pack
Darklands
Colonization
Blood (One Unit Whole Blood)
Star Control 1+2
Pirates! Gold Plus

Considering:
KKND
Star Control 3
Moonbase Commander
Blood 2
A couple people have recommended MOM and I would like to add one more. Excellent game, bought it when it first came out. I might still have the floppies in storage (aka parent's house). Then about 10 years afterwards started to play it again. I've rarely done that with other games. Been another 10 years, maybe its time to install again.

Think I'll pick up MOO 1+2, never played those.
Great promo, thanks gog!

Yes, do this. Master of Orion is an incredible game. I say this without "rose coloured glasses" because I played it for the first time last year.
I love the line being drawn. XD

One group is grabbing the smart sophisticated stuff (MOO and the Sid Meiers) and another group is grabbing the mindless kill fests (KKND and Blood).

Now if you will excuse me, I'm going to go play Blood.

Fever_Discordia: I picked up Darklands, Silver and Outcast and I own Outcast on retail and have completed it and will probably never play it again but for that price its worth it just to archive the retail copy away somewhere! (if you don't own it already, for this price, BUY IT)

When I heard TET's clue, for some reason I immediately thought of PO'ed
http://www.mobygames.com/game/poed
but that never got a PC version so it probably IS KKnD 2 then, unless they're getting the HD remake of MDK 2...

Also while I respect that TET can speak English one HELL of a lot better than I can speak Polish (that is to say, not at all) his attempt to say 'Epoch' was still funny - 'Epep' LOL!

tinyE: If you plan on installing and playing Silver before the sale ends give us a heads up. I read the reviews here and around the web and they seem kind of mixed, but I LOVE the way it looks.
OK so I installed it and gave it a go - yeah, its a bit of an odd one, not without its issues but probably worth the sale price - It looks exactly like FF7 but then the combat is a real time button masher, a button masher you play withe the mouse and it makes you hold down the CTRL key for some reason so you can be screaming HIT HIM, H I T.... H I M... WHY WON'T YOU HIT HIM? Oh, I'm not holding CTRL, rubbish!
Voice acting and script are a little dodgy and make it feel a bit kiddified also it gives you a choice between speech or text boxes - I would have preferred both it would also be nice if you could pause the action while you look at your inventory and s witch to ranged and back etc
But a fun and pleasant enough romp all the same, so far
Was that helpful?

XD That will do.
Let me add to that. Based on your description I'm going to get it. "fun and pleasant enough romp" sold me.

I am still offering 10 dollars in games between April 1st-3rd for anyone who can buy me Silver, Master of Magic, and Darklands during the promo. PM me if interested.
BLOOD is one of my favorite FPS games of all time. Just ignore the sequel. Trust me.

Silver, RTC 2, KKND, and Syn War which isn't part of the promo but I bought with this stuff. Add that to the damage I did last week and I am on ramen noodles for the next little while. :D

If you are asking because you are curious about the games I previously have gotten Blood, Depserados 1, ID War 2, Outcast, and Alone in the Dark 1-3 ALL of which are great (Desperados is okay).
