Master of Orion 1+2, Rollercoaster Tycoon series, Blood 1&2, and other timeless Atari classics 60% off!

There's a few companies out there that contributed as much to the evolution of computer games as Atari did. In the 8-bit era their games and hardware helped to define the course for electronic entertainment, and gave us one of the first successful home consoles dedicated to gaming. In time, the brand went through many changes, as it adapted new roles in the ever-changing landscape of the games industry. In whatever form--it always existed, and soldiered on, whatever the odds. as one of the few constants. Today, we want to celebrate this pioneering label. Here's our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/atari_weekend_promo_220313]Atari! Atari Promo!

It's just amazing to see how many excellent titles that we offer you comes from Atari! Such classics as Master of Orion 1+2, and Master of Magic, one of the most memorable strategy games of all times, or Star Control 1+2, a space opera that kept us playing for weeks--that's in the oldies department. There's also and [url=http://www.gog.com/gamecard/blood_2_the_chosen_expansion]Blood 2: The Chosen, two gore-fest games that put many horror shooters to shame up to this day. All those, and many, many more games are available 60% off this weekend. Check the Atari! Atari promo page to see the whole list. The promo lasts until Tuesday, March 26, at 5:59AM GMT.

Last news I saw on Atari was this: http://www.vg247.com/2013/02/05/atari-awaiting-approval-on-bankruptcy-financing/
Lots of great games there, hopefully Atari is here for the long run. :)
nvm, email just got here.

The completionist in me reeeallly wants to get MoO3 but 4 bucks still seems a bit steep :/

I've wanted the Desperados series, too, but again, 4 bucks is discouraging for an apparently inferior sequel.

Also looking at KKnD and wondering if I really need another RTS.

Hmmm... great promo, just have a few things to decide.
Thank you. I came in here to reference those, of course. :D

Master of Magic for $2.39??!! SOLD!!!! Wow nice catch. Hey guys, where is Temple of Elemental Evil?... :P

This is a great promo to get some of the classics like Master of Orion, Star Control, Total Annihilation, Alone in the Dark... games which I have previously owned already but lost somewhere in between space and time.

Be sure to check some of these titles and timeless classics.

Also be sure to pick up and play Alone in the Dark. Great game. Then go watch the movie and join the people who hate Uwe Boll for doing what he does best... sh!t on a great game franchise. `w`

It's weird that you can talk about Atari as a brand when it's been so incredibly morphed, but though I guess it makes one sort of sense, the Atari that launched Pong, Asteroids, and the home console revolution back in the 8-bit days is long dead... The company was split in two, Midway/Williams took Atari's post-1984 game division (before dying their own ignomanius death a few years ago) and Infogrames gobbled up the computer division and early games from before the Crash, none of which are in this sale. Infogrames then renamed themselves as Atari and ate a bunch of other companies as well so what we see in this sale here is actually mostly from Microprose and Cavedog and other games that had nothing to do with either the original Atari or with Infogrames-turned-into-Atari when they were originally published.

Still, there's a lot of great games listed, even if it's just because Infogrames swallowed a lot of great companies. Wish I had more money to pick up some I don't have. I never tried KKND, is it still considered worthwhile?
To everyone: Hey all.....i'm currently asking for help in getting several of these titles until I get paid....check my off-topic thread for details if you're interested.

If you like (older) RTS games, it is pretty ok. And definitely challenging. And the mission descriptions made me chuckle occasionally.

If you have a somewhat passable graphics card (meaning not integrated; my Intel HD 3000 was doing really well at first but kind of got bogged down in the later, bigger scenarios) I'd actually recommend RCT3. While I really enjoy RCT2, and despite of some niggles I have with part 3, I find RCT3 overall a much more enjoyable experience.

Call me a big sucker if you will but I love being able to ride my attractions in RCT3. Riding coasters that weave around, under, and over my other rides, shops, paths is a lot of fun. Also, building underground coaster sections is so much easier in the game. The old isometric view of the first two games can make for a ridiculous amount of trial and error. Plus, I also found it to be much more fun decorating my attractions in RCT3.
I picked up Darklands, Silver and Outcast and I own Outcast on retail and have completed it and will probably never play it again but for that price its worth it just to archive the retail copy away somewhere! (if you don't own it already, for this price, BUY IT)

When I heard TET's clue, for some reason I immediately thought of PO'ed
http://www.mobygames.com/game/poed
but that never got a PC version so it probably IS KKnD 2 then, unless they're getting the HD remake of MDK 2...

Also while I respect that TET can speak English one HELL of a lot better than I can speak Polish (that is to say, not at all) his attempt to say 'Epoch' was still funny - 'Epep' LOL!

If you plan on installing and playing Silver before the sale ends give us a heads up. I read the reviews here and around the web and they seem kind of mixed, but I LOVE the way it looks.

Well I WASN'T but you've just given me an excuse to dodge playing War of the Ring so I'll have a look...
Alright! Gonna grab Master of Orion and I-War at last! Might get Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 as well.

Krush and Kill is a little tempting as well. The other major releases I already have. :D

XD We almost have the same shopping list. I considered MoO but I'm really in a "Non Thinking" vibe right now; lots of Postal and lots of K&K! Do you have ID War 2? I prefer it to #1 though some folks may tell you I'm crazy.
