Hotline Miami, classic Oddworld games, Carmageddon Max Pack, Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy), and more 50% off

GOG.com catalog is about 550 games large and the first word that comes to mind when you look at it is variety. We have all sorts of games, old and new, coming from many different genres, and there's plenty of choice whatever your taste in games might be. Our weekend promos, however, tend to focus on a single theme, genre, or publisher. This time we thought we should arrange for a different kind of a promo. A promo that would reflect the diversity of GOG.com catalog and the feeling of having many different options it comes with. That's why in our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/action_weekend_promo_260413]Assorted April Games promo you can get 15 titles of various genres and age, with a 50% off discount. Let's take a quick look at some of them, shall we?

Hotline Miami, from Jonatan ''Cactus'' Söderström and Dennis Wedin, or Dennaton Games as the team calls themselves, is one of the most prominent indie games of 2012. Exploring the idea of violence and free will it delivers great and dynamic 1980s-themed gameplay full of fast-paced combat, excellent music and frantic tactics. The game received high praise from critics and gamers alike, and you can get it for only $4.99 this weekend.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus are some of the most brilliant and inspired puzzle-platformers in history. The games follow the daring deeds of Abe, a Mudokon slave that challenges the villainous Glukkon establishment and rescues his brethren from becoming mudo-burgers. With mind-bending puzzles, a pinch of crude humor, and incredibly vivid alien setting, the Oddworld games are a remarkable experience. Only $2.99 each!

Carmageddon Max Pack is a racing game that isn't really about racing. It's more about murder and destruction. All of the cars are machines of mayhem and all of the drivers are raving maniacs. Getting first to the finish line is one of the options, but normally you will probably win most of the races by brutally eliminating the competition. One of the most controversial games in history can be yours for only $4.99 this weekend.

Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) is a 3D action-adventure game with an original, shocking, and mysterious plot and many qualities of an interactive movie, full of unexpected twists and unnerving events. This unique story comes from Quantic Dream--the team of people who brought us Omikron: The Nomad Soul, and--much later--Heavy Rain. This one-of-a-kind experience can become a part of your GOG.com collection for only $2.99.

But that's only a third of the Assorted April Games that you can get 50% off this weekend. Be sure to check the promo page to see the whole selection. The offer lasts until Tuesday, April 30, at 3:59AM GMT. Don't miss out!
Seems like something for everyone, other than those who already have them all ;)
Heart of Darkness, pretty please. :D

I mean, it's time...

Anyway, epic grabs there (¡those Abe's are a must!). Tyvm.
Nothing for me this weekend. Stashing cash for May.
Seeing omikron mentioned got me exicted, but I already have what I'm interested in. But that's alright, I might get 2 worlds 2 instead...
Can I just point out that Psychonauts are one of the games on sale there?

it is also on sale on GamersGate and Steam. Now is your chance to pick up 3 shiny new versions of one of the best games ever made. For science and safe-keeping.
Wow, what a bunch of varied games. Only ones I recognize are Armageddon and Psychonauts. I would definitely recommend Psychonauts, specially if you like platformers. I am not buying it for myself (since I am not a fan of the genre) but to gift to my young nephew. That game is really the very definition of nice, clean fun.
Fahrenheit, played that some time ago. Really amazing.
I think i try it again, together with Oddworld.

Thanks GOG, heres my money. :)
Where is GOG Pay What You Want?
Just my luck, got paid for some work yesterday, can barely walk [my back is acting up! no pun there] so i can sit and recuperate while playing, and i'm not interested in those. Damnit!
Well, i bet a lot of folk are happy about the varied selection, have fun!:D
Hmmmm, I keep hearing Psychonauts mentioned occasionally as a great game, but whenever I check out the screenshots I turn right off, I can handle cartoon-y style graphics like Day of the Tentacle or Monkey Island, but not that style....
This week on GOG told me this promo was 85% off. Fail :P
Well, I did guess that it would be some sort of assorted giveaway...
Some nice games in this promo, but I already have the ones which I like Waiting to see the promised releases for May
When I read that headline, for some reason I was 100% sure that the promo would include The Longest Journey and Dreamfall, as they fit that label best. You disappoint me, GOG. ;)

Anyway, you are forgiven for missing out on an awkward pun because the actual line-up is even greater. The first four games in the list alone are a steal at this price, seeing how much fun they are. Too bad I already own them. Lucky you if you don't, here's your chance to correct that. :)
