Discovery is one of the humans' most basic needs. We eat, we drink, we sleep, we mate, and then we go someplace new. Some of us are more adventurous than others, but the need to see what lies beneath the hills is firmly rooted in the human soul. That's why we always seek out new lands. That's why we're always fascinated by legends of lost civilizations. That's why the unknown is our favorite direction. Oh yes, this can be a long and eventful weekend if you're ready to make some [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/anuman_interactive_weekend_promo_190713]Anuman Discoveries!

The stories of the lost land of have filled our imagination with amazing visions for ages. The adventure games fueled by those vision can set the mood for further exploration of the unknown. [url=http://www.gog.com/gamecard/syberia]Syberia, although it can be seemingly easy located on a map, is no less mysterious and strange than Atlantis. At least in the phenomenal point-and-clicks by the visionary Benoît Sokal, it is. If the earthly mysteries no longer excite you, you can always set out for the ultimate frontier, and explore space in Haegemonia: Gold Edition. Don't expect your journey towards stars to be peaceful and uneventful, though!

Apart from strange and forgotten lands, and the distant reaches of space, there's lots of games that wait to be discovered in our weekend offer. Titles of varied genre, size, and age wait for you in the promo page, and they're all 60% off until Tuesday, July 23, at 3:59AM GMT. Don't miss out!

deonast: Robin hood is like comandos but not, like Desperados is like comandos but not like Robin hood is like Desperados but not. I think that clears up any confusion :)
I'm beginning to feel like maybe I should buy Desperados...
Nice promo, so many good games! Thanks GOG!
Must get back to finishing Syberia, I don't even know why I stopped playing; it's delightful.
Very nice promo!

Would love to see more Anuman adventure games on GOG.
Lots of very enjoyable older advneture titles that are DRM-free on GG - why not on GOG... yet?

Also, is Return to Mysterious Island worth buying?
I got it as a gift on another digital store.

It's an inventroy puzzles focused adventure game with not many locations to visit.
It's also a (rather) short and easy game if you're an avid adventure gamer.

To quote GameBoomers:
It is not a game for those who are looking for a strong story or in-depth character development. But it is a fun game and would probably be a good choice for someone who is new to adventure games.
Maybe also check out some of the many reviews?

Oh yes, that would be good, also waiting for Return to Mysterious Island 2.

Bloodygoodgames: Will probably pick up at least one of the Still Life games this weekend. Been meaning to buy them as I've heard they're amazing and now is as good a time as any :)
DO NOT buy Still Life 2, whatever you do.
Still Life 1 is pretty good, but the 2nd one is just a simili-"SAW" ambianced garbage.
I've dowloaded some copies of Computer Gaming World from back in the days when Good Old Games were Brand New Games (http://www.cgwmuseum.org) and in issue 222 I read an advertisment for Robin Hood - The Legend of Sherwood and just thought how nice it would be to get hold of that game. Last night I read about it and today - pronto - GOG has it on sale. Do they have some psychic powers?

I actually only have 10 bucks budgeted for games this week so I couldn't afford all 3 anyway :) But....I did end up buying Post Mortem and Still Life, and I'll probably buy the third one at a later date just to complete my collection. Meanwhile I can always watch a walkthrough on YouTube to find out the end of the story.

Meanwhile, I spent my last 2 bucks on Pitman at Indie Game Stand. I've played the demo and it's AWESOME so well worth 2 bucks I thought :)

You sound just like an echo of myself - you haven't by any chance gone through my private adventure games wishlist... have you?
I am REALLY digging Race Moto 2 and I'm not even big fan of racing games. Some of the NFS titles I love and Flat Out is four stars but not much else. This RM2 is user friendly and I can't get over how good it looks for it's age. Big thumbs up here and a big recommend for anyone on the fence about it.

Great minds wish alike!
Nice games but the prices could be nicer (in my opinion).
And there I was, not realizing that I already had Robin Hood, meaning that GOG already has Robin Hood.

Oops.

F4LL0UT: Lol, I was still waiting for Robin Hood to be released on GOG. Looking at the promo I noticed that I already own it on GOG, don't know since when. >.<

Apparently Robin Hood has a pretty decent hiding skill ;)
