Are there any action sequences, or is everything dialog- and puzzle-based?
Are there numerous ways to die?
Is it possible to paint myself into a corner through my choices?

I played the original series and would love it if the new series stayed true to the originals.
It's been a long since I've played, but from what I recall:
No action sequences, where you mash buttons to fight. Action scenes does exist, but those too are dialogues/puzzles (like insult-swordfight).
You can't die.
I guess the third one means whether you can permanently screw yourself if you fail to solve a puzzle/choose bad dialogue option. You can't.

Got Chains of Satinav on Friday, and even though I've been rather sceptical about it because of all the negative reviews, I actually enjoy it. I'm about halfway into the game, and I am already tempted to buy Memoria as well. Must resist...

All four episodes of Wallace & Gromit have been delisted from both the Steam Store and the Xbox Games Store (formerly Xbox Live Marketplace). The same may have happened on other digital distribution channels and could happen soon on GOG.com. As far as I was able to research, this came without warning or an official statement on the subject.

For those with even a mild interest in Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures, I'd say this is the perfect chance to pick it up.

Any thoughts on Gomo? The game looks cute and well designed and so I'm interested, but the two reviews on the game card are very negative.

I was thinking to buy Gomo when it came to GoG. But I read a review about it, that stopped me.

It's in Greek but you can use an online translator to get the meaning. I checked google translate and it works fine for the ranking section (from Greek to English or German). If needed I can translate some text too.

They write that its length is less than 90 minutes!!!

I've also removed Gomo from my wishlist after some reviews.

Can anyone point me to well-written, exhaustive reviews of telltale's back to the future ? I've got mixed feelings about that one...

Aargh, GOG, you're killing me! :-) Pretty much broke after the winter sales, but how can I resist an adventure sales? Definitely picking up Edna & Harvey and Dark Eye!

I played the first Sam & Max season about a year ago and had mixed feelings about it. The humor and writing were fantastic, but the gameplay let it down a bit imho (very linear, only a handful of locations, limited interactivity). I'm just not a fan of the episodic approach I guess. Anyone know whether the Back to the Future and Wallace & Gromit games are any better in that respect?

I installed and finished Gomo last night. It's cute and funny. For the most part, the puzzles are pretty easy (I'm a point-n-click moron). But it is really short. I finished it in less than 3 hours with breaks and moments of cluelessness. The three unlockables are just whack-a-mole minigames. On the whole, I liked it. I didn't feel betrayed like when I finished Lilly Looking Through. Gomo has a complete story with a definitive ending, but there's no reason to replay it. So you have to ask yourself if the price is worth it for just 3 hours or less of entertainment.

Thank you for the answers. I don't mind a game being short and easy (sometimes I enjoy it to play through a game in one or two evenings), but with a length between 90 minutes and two and a half hours, I will wait for a 50% off sale.

Everytime I see Telltale's Monkey Island on sale, I doubt about buying it. I love so much the originals that I don't want a letdown (like I had with the fourth one).

I found Telltale's Sam & Max a bit funny, but very far from Hit the Road. I can play Hit the road anytime and finish it... but I can't enjoy Telltale's version that much. Haven finished a single episode, don't know why. On the other hand, I had a blast with Back to the future, maybe because I'm a huge fan of the movies.

How you stand Telltale's Monkey Island against the originals? Is it good? funny? hilarious? Not that much? Too easy?

Well, at least it sits on my shelf now, safe and sound :)
