A "let's play" video by GOG.com's very own Judas. How do you like it?

Since This Week on GOG is currently on a break in-between seasons, and we promised to keep the [url=http://j.mp/followGOGonYT]GOG.com YouTube channel interesting, we've got a special featurette for you. Our colleague, Judas, gets really passionate about some of the games we release. Just recently fell in love with Rogue Legacy, and spent many nights slashing monstrous sprites, exploring the trap-filled castle, and looting tons of gold. He had so much fun, that he thought it would be nice to share the experience, and that's how the following "let's play" video came to being. We thought it was cool enough to give it some final polish and share with you guys.

Judas Plays: Rogue Legacy

Many of our forum users may know Judas. Most, however, probably wouldn't know what he does around GOG.com, apart from delivering snarky blue one-liners. So, let's explain. Judas is our bonus content hunter always looking for a chance to add something special to our game releases. That's how he spend his days. The nights--that's a different story. That's when he puts on his special rogue outfit and sneaks back to the office to play games. That we knew, because even though he's extra stealthy, we sometimes find him in the morning, head on keyboard, snoring, with a text "Congratulations, you beat the game" flashing on his screen, and some heavy metal classic sounding from his headphones. The fact that he can coherently talk while playing--an important quality for a let's player--is as new to us as it is to you. We hope you'll like his show.

Give your feedback in the comments, please. Tell us if you'd like to see more of that kind of content (or something similar) on our YouTube channel. Judas will be lurking the forums, so you can tell him what you think. Just go easy on him. Those are his very first steps in the world of gaming videos.

If you're interested in the game that Judas Plays, it's Rogue Legacy, a proceduarally generated roguelike (or: rogue-LITE) platformer in which your dying character passes on his quest and heritage to his offspring, shaping a heroic saga generation by generation, and it's available on GOG.com for only $14.99.

No, the video left me speechless. :) Edited, thanks.
Okay I came up with another idea. Maybe every couple of weeks the GOG community can vote on a game they'd like Judas to play and record in a video like this one.

I am not good at all games, or most of them :/

Especially RTS games...

Just an FYI :P

You could do a polite version of Rage Quit! :D I recommend good (or at least decent) games that haven't sold very well. (You guys need to do more to promote g.o.g.s that aren't at the top of the catalog, in my opinion.)

Let's see, I'll nominate a lot:

Combat Chess
Dangerous Dave Pack
Hocus Pocus
Speed Busters: American Highways
Anvil of Dawn
World Rally Fever: Born on the Road
Secret Agent
Chaos Overlords
Project Eden
Inherit the Earth
Pandemonium 2
Worms Forts: Under Siege
Subwar 2050 Complete

And because it was so recent, Tzar: The Burden of the Crown.

Cheat. IMO, little shame in that because games were tougher back then, and we have less patience nowadays. Now cheats for LBA2 may not help your situation, but cheating on older platformers may help the game go more smoothly and less frustratingly.

Yea, I agree. This could be a great way to promote lesser known GOGs. I'm not sure how many resources and efforts it would require, but people on the forum could help out.

It could just be 10 min videos like this one, showcasing an intro to a particular game.
Speaking of Little Big Adventure. How the hell do I learn the controls? I remember I picked it up ages ago and could never get into it since I used to be more of an FPS only type.

I tried it again a few months ago, and STILL can't figure it out. I get the floor wiped with my arse in the first area.

Cheating is bad. No way. I'll save scum to show off a particular place or feature but cheating as in invulnerability? Nope.

edit: removed text that could be taken the wrong way.

Well I enjoy a nice challenge (I recently beat Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 and avoided using cheats there), but I'm not against getting extra lives or super-weapons, or a form of assist, if I keep dying at one point.

Obviously that's your choice, but I'm surprised you seem to have such a strong opinion against it. :)

I cheated through a couple games once, way back when and it kind of ruined the experience. Ever since then I decided that I either get good enough to get past something or put the game away until I feel ready to tackle it again without throwing my pad/keyboard/mouse halfway across the room out of frustration :D
That intro was AMAZING. Seriously. Pure awesome.

Also, LPs are always fun and any that you guys/gals/creatures feel like doing are cool in my book. :D

Ha ha, fair enough. I just know I wouldn't have been able to get through PoP: Sands of Time without a trainer. (I never got the "flow" of fighting.)
