A "let's play" video by GOG.com's very own Judas. How do you like it?

Since This Week on GOG is currently on a break in-between seasons, and we promised to keep the [url=http://j.mp/followGOGonYT]GOG.com YouTube channel interesting, we've got a special featurette for you. Our colleague, Judas, gets really passionate about some of the games we release. Just recently fell in love with Rogue Legacy, and spent many nights slashing monstrous sprites, exploring the trap-filled castle, and looting tons of gold. He had so much fun, that he thought it would be nice to share the experience, and that's how the following "let's play" video came to being. We thought it was cool enough to give it some final polish and share with you guys.

Judas Plays: Rogue Legacy

Many of our forum users may know Judas. Most, however, probably wouldn't know what he does around GOG.com, apart from delivering snarky blue one-liners. So, let's explain. Judas is our bonus content hunter always looking for a chance to add something special to our game releases. That's how he spend his days. The nights--that's a different story. That's when he puts on his special rogue outfit and sneaks back to the office to play games. That we knew, because even though he's extra stealthy, we sometimes find him in the morning, head on keyboard, snoring, with a text "Congratulations, you beat the game" flashing on his screen, and some heavy metal classic sounding from his headphones. The fact that he can coherently talk while playing--an important quality for a let's player--is as new to us as it is to you. We hope you'll like his show.

Give your feedback in the comments, please. Tell us if you'd like to see more of that kind of content (or something similar) on our YouTube channel. Judas will be lurking the forums, so you can tell him what you think. Just go easy on him. Those are his very first steps in the world of gaming videos.

If you're interested in the game that Judas Plays, it's Rogue Legacy, a proceduarally generated roguelike (or: rogue-LITE) platformer in which your dying character passes on his quest and heritage to his offspring, shaping a heroic saga generation by generation, and it's available on GOG.com for only $14.99.

Why not Sacrifice ? :(

tfishell: Well I enjoy a nice challenge (I recently beat Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 and avoided using cheats there), but I'm not against getting extra lives or super-weapons, or a form of assist, if I keep dying at one point.

Obviously that's your choice, but I'm surprised you seem to have such a strong opinion against it. :)

JudasIscariot: I cheated through a couple games once, way back when and it kind of ruined the experience. Ever since then I decided that I either get good enough to get past something or put the game away until I feel ready to tackle it again without throwing my pad/keyboard/mouse halfway across the room out of frustration :D
Thats the spirit!
Woa , really impressed by the Intro.
Wery well done and tied together with the Short LP.
Nice ... GOG Let's Play videos! GJ Judas and the GOG team. I look forward to future installments.
Looked like you where really enjoying getting beaten up. That game looks really hard game.
I think you guys should show a couple of let's plays by someone named Jesus. You know, for balance sake.
Great idea and good execution, well done GOG!

That wouldn't be very interesting. He'd win every time.

It's not here

I have to get good :P
You guys should do more of these -- GOG Guys Go Gaming :)

Very cool - loved this and a GREAT way to help sell more of the games you play on GOG :)

nijuu: Nice one :D. How about you guys do a series with other guys in the office playing other games they like as well? ;)

G-Doc: Sadly, there are only few fluent English speakers at GOG.com. Even some of our native English speakers are absolutely impossible to understand because of their--let's say--New Zealandish accent (*ekhem*TurnipSlayer*ekhem*).

mondo84: I love this idea! Enjoying the video and commentary so far. :)

I hope it can continue even after TWOG resumes. Maybe a mid-week thing?

G-Doc: Judas working on a schedule. Now that would be a fun thing to see :-D
Don't forget, you also have customers who speak Polish (not me :)

I'd still watch GOG guys, even playing in Polish (I watch Let's Plays in German, French and Spanish all the time, and I don't speak more than a few words of each language).

You DO have an international customer base, you know :)

Great idea. I'd definitely watch more of this, or similar to it.

Additionally I just have to say: Bonus Content Hunter has got to be one of the most awesome jobs I've heard of.
