Hi guys i want to tell you thanks to bring us this Good Old Games, but honesty i think
you are forgetting a big part of the comunity, not all of us like RPG games and the last
gog's was RPG's (except the space rangers). I hope more Good Old Games, maybe some
adventures, action, and fps. Thanks.
Well think about it like this: There are not a lot of good old RPGs left to be released... therefore I'm sure you'll be seeing other genres now.
Hell yes agreed! Now that the Atari-Hasbro deal seems to have been completed, I'm really rooting for some Good Old adventure games. Maybe som lesser-known gems like Scratches, Morpheus or Black Dahlia!

It probably won't happen, though
We already have many adventure games here!

What we need is more pinball and sport games!
Whats about Good Old Classics like :

ONI, Screamer 2, SIN, Resident Evil, The House of the Dead, Turok, Shadows
of Memory, Sheep Dog and Wolf, Megaman Legends, Theme Park, Little Big Adventure,
Strife, etc.. etc..

I mean gog can still release RPG offcourse but please not all at once, mix with
other genres.

Thanks

You do realize that your little list involves about 5 different publishers?
I'm sure there are tons of games in other genres that you haven't played on GOG yet. Check out the catalog and see what you haven't gotten yet that looks interesting.
Well, it was a big coup for them to lock up the Atari/Hasbro titles, and after announcing the deal it would have been rather... questionable marketing if they'd just sat on them for months (look at the unrest just from delaying the release of BG2 for a couple weeks).

I'm sure they'll have other deals to announce in the future with plenty of other genres on offer. It's a no-win scenario though. If they release a run of adventure games or FPS, they'll have the people that don't like them complaining. Be patient. There will be something you like eventually.

Age of Wonder also wasn't an RPG.

I hardly consider spreading 7 titles over about 7 weeks as sitting on them. I'm certain that they had to put a lot of hard work into bringing the games to us and I think they did a fantastic job at delivering them in a timely manner.

I don't think he accused them of sitting on them. He said "IF they'd" :)

All the games work on modern OS and cracks are readily available (which GOG have used on games in the past). So basically all they had to do was wrap it up in their installer, sort out the web pages and there you have it. Not the most difficult releases they've had to do.

That's not what I said. Reread my post. My point was they had all these great RPGs from Atari/Hasbro, and they released them quickly, which is why we've recently had a spate of RPG releases.
personally i thought they should have released BG II last week. That way it is out of the way and we would have started seeing different releases and everyone would have been happy. That last part of course was wishful thinking

Sheep Dog & Wolf was known by the incredibly parodious name of Sheep Raider over here in the States, and yes I would LOVE to see this. Unfortunately we'll have to screw around with Warner Bros as well in order to get it.

Theme Park & Theme Hospital too, wouldn't mind either one being out, it's sort of the whole "why are you against free money?" sort of thing.
