Don't miss our YouTube show featuring the recent releases and promos!

For the past six months we've been publishing our This Week on GOG shows. Yes, that's right--today marks our show's half-anniversary! We're glad that you enjoy our efforts (we know that from your comments) and we appreciate all your witty remarks, helpful suggestions, and continuous support. Whenever you subscribe to our YouTube channel, Mr. A, our Video Ninja, lets out a shriek of joy. Each time you share a TWoGOG episode with your friends via the social media, he dances a little victory dance. Not to mention The Enigmatic T, beaming up with pride every time you comment on his voice acting. Sometimes someone even mentions that the show is well written--that's when tears of joy fill old G-Doc's weary eyes (that's me--your humble writer). Producing This Week on GOG has been challenging, inspiring, and fun for the past 22 published episodes, the 8 never-published test episodes!), the current, 23rd episode, and we sure hope it will stay that way for many more episodes to come. Anyway, here's this week's this week.

So, if you haven't already, you might want to follow the GOG.com channel on Youtube, so you won't miss our shows, specials, and exclusive trailers. Also--you'll make us happy! That's it, thanks for watching, don't miss our Telltale Crazy Sale, and see you next Friday!

mondo84: Hmm, if Microsoft wasn't mentioned in the Letter to Santa (compared to the prior article about MS, Take Two, and LucasArts being the three lead candidates), maybe something with MS didn't work out? Maybe it really is LucasArts, if Disney has taken a different approach with them.

I guess we'll find out in a couple weeks.

tfishell: That would be absolutely astonishing and unbelievably fantastic. I felt that like the evidence landed with Microsoft (release AoEII HD first on Steam for $20 [try to make a chunk of change off that], then AoE + expansions + soundtrack + goodies on GOG for 10, then AoEII original eventually for $10), but lately it seems like they really don't like DRM-free.

I'm curious: what Take 2 games are the highest on the wishlist?
Barry_Woodward has a nice list here:

Fantastic: +1
I wanted to ask exactly the same.

JMich: Well, TET doesn't know anything about a spring conference. Want me to dig up the post?
You don't have to, I believe it. I just thought that if there was a spring conference yesteryear and the year before that, and if there's some great news to announce, there will be one this year, too.

Excellent. I don't think Steam has the older Civiliations, so I hope those make an appearance (although I only ever played Civ III; I'll buy that when it comes here). And of course X-Com belongs here.

megarock58: nice try, but i know you are joking.

triock: We will see! :p
I really do hope you are right. A large chunk of my childhood gaming memories are tied up in Lucas Arts games.
The Dig, Full Throttle, Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max, Grim Fandango, Indiana Jones, Loom, etc.

With Lucas Arts come all of those Star Wars games too. So we could have months dedicated to X-Wing Fighter and other Star Wars based games. This part is as much good as bad really.

I'm starting to think that they will delay it until E3, so CDP gets to show and announce stuff for Witcher 3 on the next gen machines. Not an actual delay, since they never gave us any date at all, but in previous years the conference took place early in Spring.
Revenant was really that good? Seemed to have gotten a lukewarm response at least when it came out, one of those misunderstood cult classics?

G-Doc: The classic lineup we've prepared for you in May will blow your mind :-) Can't go into further detail, but I just couldn't contain my excitement anymore ;-)
If that doesn't include the game with Christopher Walken and Blue Oyster Cult I'm not believing anything You say ever again!

tfishell: Thank you...
avatar
tburger: No, no - no up-front excitement. We sit and wait and feed our wallets. It is only 2 weeks more. If they will try to amaze us with 2007 'classics' we will amaze them with letter bombs ;-P
You have my letters.
I must say that I just now realized that The Fez is coming to GOG. I am really looking forward to this, well done GOG.

This year conference was only in Polish and they confirmed on the twitter that there will be no English one. Probably because there was nothing solid to announce.
