This could be almost anything. Ah, well, I'll go out on a limb and say Final Fantasy VII. :p

Crosmando: Albion had a science-fiction-like location at the start of the game, but then proceeded to be fantasy for the rest.
I want to believe. Albion is a fantastic game (minus the awkwardness of the first person parts).

Anyway, vote for it here :P
Next weeks release: Final Fantasy 7 or 8?
It's also a mix of fantasy and scifi.

I also have to put down my vote for Albion. Perhaps it is not fully sci-fi, although there are very strong general undertones. Maybe the more educated in the world of game releases will be able to come up with a better example, but as imperfect a match Albion is to the description, it stays.
Duh, with just enough of a stretch, that clue can be applied to just about any game (which possibly explains why it gave me a weird deja vu feeling).

Unless "forging" is the key word here.

And I'm starting to get an impression that from now on TET will deliberately make the clues as ambiguous as he can, so that it'll be possible to find a replacement game that fits the clue, in case the intended release gets postponed for whatever reason...
Okay, I'll guess wildly: Spelljammer: Pirates of Realmspace as a tastefully low-key way to introduce SSI's D&D games. :-P

1) It's not TET that writes the script.
2) If "reasons" happen, the release is postponed. Hint isn't used for something else. System Shock 2 may be an exception. We do (usually) get a "release postponed for reasons" post though.

I'm just the empty shirt who makes words happen into a microphone. G-Doc is the author of the show. ;)

True, but where would the space butterflies be without your voice? (to all those confused, the term space butterflies comes from an interview TET did some time ago).
But ambiguous hints canl technically be more convenient, considering there are always people who expect a completely different game based on the given hint. ^_^;

Though this kind of messes up the whole "guessing" part. I mean, a hint that is very easily applied to a whole ton of games? That's a purely luck-based kind of guessing...

...Again, unless the key part was "forging".

I believe it is. They could have used "mixing" or "combining".

While that is true, the choice could had been made for linguistic reasons, to make it sound more "enigmatic". If "forging" is indeed the key, that would mean that there is either some sort of crafting involved, or the central MacGuffin is an item that brings together elements of fantasy and sci-fi. While I am not the most informed on all the games ever released, there are not that many options available without bringing a new publisher into the mix.
The forging clue actually suggests Anvil Of Dawn... With Chaos Overlords being delayed, they didn't actually just flip-flop the release weeks and subsequently the clues, did they?

Hmm, that's Loom!
Sci-fi: There is a futuristic glass city in Loom.
Fantasy: There is a dragon, a magical guild and many other uses of magic in Loom.
Forging: One of the most important plot points if forging a magical sword.
Means: LucasArts confirmed.
:)))

Darn, I actually though about Loom for a moment, but decided not to bring it up. ^_^;;;
