PixelBoy: Has anyone seen Cognition after the first few hours of the sale?
I've not had it come up since the first day, and haven't heard of anyone who secured it during the return of the rares. Same with Outlast, which seemed to vanish after the first round.

juryman00: I completely puddled and got owlverlord

Well, thank you! I redeemed Avernum and Giana Sisters. Check your pm inbox...
Does anybody have a spare GOG key for Deadly Premonition and wants something specific in exchange?
Still having no luck getting Deponia 3 and Memoria.
If anyone happens to come across these games, especially if they're in the same roll, please let me know.

I've pretty much given up on rolling the games on my own, and would be more than happy to trade.
The only rare I got on my own was Aarklash, which I wasn't all that interested in but got anyway just to get something besides Puddle.

I think I saw Outlast show up very early on in the sale, before the rares were pulled/depleted the first time.

If your not interested in Aarklash and haven't redeemed it yet, it should be very easy for you to find someone interested in trading for a game you do want. I've seen quite a few people hunting for this.

I picked it up. It was the only game I managed to get out of the pots.
I think I've made a new discovery. The games you roll are correspond to certain slots. So I noticed that I always got Space Mutant Blobs as the 4th game when I picked a bundle of 5 pots. So I tried getting regular games and then in space number 4 I put one pot, sure enough the pot was Mutant blobs. Did this multiple times and it always worked. So if there's only one ordinary random game you want (not on rare list) then you should be able to pick it out like this by finding the slot number it rolls up in.

Really?! If it's always true, it's a nice little discovery.

It worked every time I tried it. Hopefully it works for others too. If someone else could try and confirm it that would be nice.

Well I get the same games, no matter what i choose:

With no items from sale (only Pot of gold items)
Blobs
Geneforge
SS2
Avernum
Penumbra

With a single title from the sale ( I tries 3 different ones, always getting the same results)
I Have No Mouth
Painkiller
Blobs
Penumbra

With two
Puddle
Penumbra
SS2

With three
I Have No Mouth
Penumbra

As I doubt I'll get any of the rare ones, and I actually wanted both Penumbra and I Have No Mouth,
This leaves me to wonder,
If I want both Alan Wakes and the Giana Sisters enough for that price to get those two or not...
As nothing else* in this promo is of much interest to me
* Other then The Curse Of the Jack Keane Island... which I'll have to keep until the first one pops in a promo.

Didn't work for me, which is a bit of a shame as it would indeed be a neat trick to lock in your choices! When I rolled five pots and then selected the three I wanted to keep, replacing the other two with list items, the three pots were completely different games. They weren't even in the first roll. Sorry.

GOG always rearranges the cart on me, putting picked games at the top, so for example, if I put lilly and dust in slots four and five, when I click checkout, they go to the top. I've tried in chrome and firefox with the same results.

Personally, I think the rolls are linked to accounts. No matter what I've done, I haven't seen a "rare" game all week. I've done a lot just to see, while other people have been getting them all the time. I have 24 games, almost all of them older games, and I wonder how the people's accounts that are seeing rare games compare.

That is too bad. I wonder why it works for me then. Perhaps I have such a limited roll that that's all it can do. An interesting theory, if the order you put them on your wishlist matters with newer wishes having higher priority. Because I noticed that every time I put a game on my wishlist it turned up in the next batch until I stabilized to just one. (this was just with common games)

A number of people did report the wishlist setting as working (adding a common to your wishlist made it more likely to appear). Whatever the underlying algorithm, it now seems pretty non-random most of the time, with a lot of heavy repetition, including entire carts.
