But can someone please explain to me why is each game on GOG 6 Dollars while on Steam each game is 10 Euro? this is Tomb raider all over again, what's with the ridiculous prices?

It also appears that Blood Omen 2 wasn't released yet as well.

Are the Steam versions any different to the GOG versions?

Um, dollars is less than euro's isn't it? The pricing would be due to GOG and it's one price for all fairness.

Obviously other distribution sites do the regional pricing thing which explains the difference.
It's ten dollars for me, so this is just another case of a publisher acting like euros = dollars. Which sucks, but thankfully you can get it here instead.

I see $9.99 each one, and I have to say, very overpriced. GOG have the same games at $5.99 for months. Steam is also lacking achievements, and the GOG bonuses.

I don't see a reason why I should buy them (again) on Steam, or why I should pick Steam over GOG if I don't have them.
If anybody buys these on Steam over GOG I will facepalm hard
Same with Tomb Raider although thats slightly more understandable due to later games on Steam
I think that $10 is a perfectly reasonable price for Soul Reaver, and was quite surprised when GOG went for the $6 price point. That being said, now that one digital distribution site is selling it for that lower price, it's a little late for Squenix to change their mind and try to charge more.
Are the games on GOG? Yes.
Were the games on GOG first? Yes.
Are the games cheaper on GOG? Yes.
Do the games on GOG have bonuses? Yes.

So, I fail to see any problems.

If anything, GOG should be applauded for their business and marketing skills on this one.
Maybe Squeenix was worried that selling the games DRM-free would lose them customers, and so decided to sell it here for a lower price :P
Wow Square-Enix must really think that they can get more out of Steam users since there is a seemingly vocal "majority"(personally I tend to think it's more of a Vocal minority but who really knows) that wont bother going anywhere else or they figure that enough Steam users are just going to pick these up on sale anyway that it would be better to raise the price so they see a little more of a return. Maybe both.

Either way doesn't bother me in the slightest as the games are cheaper here anyway, now if Square raised the prices here to match the Steam prices then yeah that is a different story

Of course there is going to be people who will buy these on Steam rather then GOG even at the higher price points just for the fact that those versions are on Steam and that is all that matters.

Now don't get me wrong I get the whole "not wanting to have too many accounts thing" not that having two accounts(one on steam and one here) is really that much of a hassle but whatever. I just don't care for the basic rabid fanboys types but only because I really don't like fanboys..at all..

Good thing that it is on more distribution sites. Bad thing that the publishers are assholes with the pricing. Of course that is not counting things like possible future bundles where the entire pack will probably be 5 bucks. Yeah.

It could change price here any day, we have no idea.

That said I completely agree with someone who posted when this happened with Tomb Raider that they likely price higher on Steam to compensate for the crazy deals. They can do a 75% off deal at Christmas and have it be about the same as a 50% off deal on GOG.
Does Squeenix really think the majority of steam gamers would even take a second look at old PC ports like the Tomb Raiders?
Well I am tempted to buy them on Steam, just because all my games are on Steam basically. But I like GOG.com too they have Starflight 1 + 2 and other fun things like Descent Freespace =( I'm so confused, gr.... the pricing on Steam is certainly bad though in comparison, idk what to think. I will consider carefully.

It's a SQUARE game, so yes.

I know it isn't. But they sell a lot of games due to the brand alone.
It's the Sucker Tax.
