Borderlands is a great singleplayer experience. It is like Diablo as a first person shooter. Can't say a lot about the second one (the DLC madness is scaring me off a bit), but the first one never felt like a pure multiplayer game. To be honest: I never touched the multiplayer part oO It can get a bit difficult sometimes (when you're facing a bunch of Skags with two Badass/Badmutha/Asskicking Alpha Skags, for example), but that's okay. The same goes for the first Dead Island, which essentially is Borderlands with melee weapons and zombies. I never touched the multiplayer and loved the game (although it felt very repetitive after a while).

- Including codes for the following DLCs: blah mission, character xyz, uber armor and weapon pack - I simply hate this. Why do I have to activate free DLC that is already on the disc? Exclusive pre-order content is even worse. Especially if it is exclusive to a specific retailer.
- US Army/War/Terrorists/Communists - That's where all those zombie games are coming from. It's dead and rotting but some publishers are keeping it alive and going.
- Challenging Indie platformer with unique artstyle and innovative puzzles - Not again... Just type "why are all i" into google search and look what happens -> *
click* If they don't stop it, we'll have even more zombie games.
- "Insert movie here": The Game - Not a bullet point, but when I see one of those games I don't even turn the box to look at the bullets. Why are they still making those games? I mean... Honestly, does anyone here know someone who knows someone who bought... uhm... The Amazing Spiderman? Or this.. uhm... Star Trek something? James Bond: Blood Stone? Bad mechanics, bad graphics, bad gameplay and totally overpriced. Why don't they at least
try to make good games?
- Social blah achievements blurg Facebook... - Wait!? Facebook? Okay, I can live with achievments and social crap. I just ignore this stuff (zero "friends" on Steam - I don't want to chat, I want to play singleplayer games). But what the fuck... I... Sorry, but I don't want to log into Final Fantasy 7 (the re-release) with my Facebook account! I don't want to give StarCraft II access to my friends list. What is this? A browsergame? What is Facebook doing in my games?
- Free 2 play - Or in other words: pay the full price for the game via microtransactions and lose your game when we turn off the servers. No way! I can keep my discs, I can keep my GOG installers and I could even crack my Steam games, should something funny happen to Valve. But what happens with those games? One day they're gone, no matter how much you paid for them.
- Cloud blah blah - Yeah, sure... Why don't you just call it "Always Online DRM"? We already know how this (doesn't) work. Remember Sim City!
