Omerta: City of Gangsters, a 1930s mafia simulation with ruthless tactical turn-based combat and wonderful era-appropriate score, is available now 50% off, for only $19.99 with the DLC included free. This offer ends on April 8 at 10:59 PM GMT.

Omerta: City of Gangsters is an atmospheric game, a game where you battle it out tactically and strategically as you attempt to wrest control of the city from the other mafioso. It's a game that is more than the sum of its parts, and here's our top 6 reasons why you should check it out:

1. The atmosphere. The atmosphere of early 1920s, brutal gangsters' world, and brilliant soundtrack should appeal to all the fans of the era so rarely depicted in video games.

2. Visual presentation. Graphics, art style, pictures, portraits, maps, and the city all look great. And you do not need a high-end machine to play it.

3. Fast-paced combat. As Tim Stone fromPC Gamer wrote: "Shotgun blasts shatter furniture and send clustered foes reeling. Molotov cocktails loop through windows. Hoodlums lean from cover cradling chattering Tommy guns."

4. Engaging Story mode. The campaign has a very well driven story with some twists and turns, interesting characters (with two additional henchmen from the DLCs), and wonderful cutscenes.

5. Better than Ever. The game has been patched already and a big update with new maps, more customization options, and additional "Iron Man" difficulty was promised by Kalypso.

6. Free DLC. It's now $19.99 and with two DLCs: The Bulgarian Colossus and The Con Artist for FREE for everyone who has purchased the game.

Sold? Great, then get Omerta: City of Gangsters right now for $19.99 and get all the available DLC packs free.

All of you who have purchased Omerta: City of Gangsters from GOG.com will be able to get The Con Artist DLC for free. Just add it to your cart for $0.00 and check out! If you have purchased this DLC separately, please contact our support and you will get a code good for any $5.99 game for free.

JMich: $19.99 according to SteamPrices. So it's us Europeans that get shafted, and twice this time.
bit off topic but who decides when a game goes on sale? Gog ask publishers each time? publisher decides to let all the other stores they have game on know as well?.. it doesn't seem to happen a lot..same game going on sale sometime different stores but it does happen.....
seen games go on sale at store x then same ones go in sale week after elsewhere more often

It tends to be in tandem with the developers, which is why you often see planned sales on several different digital retailers at once.

But it doesn't happen all the time though. GOG has this promo, then Steam 'happens' to just have same price (well for here) sale on same day after the fact....It isnt on sale on GG or GMG etc

It's still quite likely it was planned, we've seen game developers mention waiting for sale slots etc, and sales are often leaked well in advance of them actually happening. It's incredibly unlikely a Steam Weekend Deal wasn't already planned.

Or ... you can imagine nefarious Valve plotting GOG's demise by mimicking one of their sales, but then even slightly worse without free included DLC ... that'll teach them to take 5% of their sales!

Well Steam now has a habit now of 'borrowing' ideas from others, so why not happen to have sales of same game on same day as competition

Pheace: To be fair, the guy had a lot to make up for considering his own made up Gamer's bill of rights, stated this:
2. Gamers shall have the right to demand that games be released in a finished state.
He wrote "Gamer's bill of rights" when he made his pet-project GalCiv. After releasing Demigod he somewhat change his position and admitted that bill is too optimistic.)
"1. The atmosphere. The atmosphere of early 1920s, brutal gangsters' world, and brilliant soundtrack should appeal to all the fans of the era so rarely depicted in video games."

You mean the soundtrack which isn't on GOG? :P I'll pay extra for them, Kings Bounty: Crossworlds is next on my purchasing list and I'll be buying it here instead of Steam or GamersGate because you include the soundtrack. Include it with Omerta and I'll add it to my purchase list. Otherwise I'll just head on over to S3.
I may be a sucker, I bought Omerata. Oh well another game that won't be so bad an experience as I probably will never get the time to play it. Addict much?
$20 for a 2 star game? You've got to be kidding me.. This game doesn't belong on GOG (yet) , it's neither good nor old.
Let the devs work out the many bugs before they try to sell it as non-alpha/beta.

Yeah! Stick with the true classics like Master of Orion 3 and Sensible Soccer and Empire Earth 3 and...oh.
