Until the end of March GOG.com is celebrating the fact that Blitzkrieg, the phenomenal World War II real time strategy series, has been around for a decade now. On our [url=http://www.gog.com/promo/blitzkrieg_anniversary_promo_270313]Blitzkrieg 10th Anniversary Promo you can get both Blitzkrieg Anthology and Blitzkrieg 2 Anthology 60% off. That's only $3.99 for each of this extensive, realistic, and multifaceted strategy gems. Don't miss the opportunity to get yourself hours upon hours of excellent and challenging strategic gameplay that will test your skills as a military commander.

Both games excel in portraying the reality of the World War II campaigns down to detailed unit specifics and equipment. You'll get a chance to recreate the most important battles that served as turning points of mankind's most terrifying conflict up to date. Once you finish all the engaging single-player scenarios, you can challenge your friends online or use the provided map editor to create your very own campaigns.

On a side-note: we've just added the Russian-language versions of both games. If you purchased Blitzkrieg Anthology and Blitzkrieg 2 Anthology before, you can now also download the new language version. If not--here's your chance to get acquainted with that excellent series for just a fraction of the regular price! The offer lasts until Monday, April 1, at 4:59AM GMT.
When you have to question whether or not you have already purchased a game, you know you have too many games :) Nice promo.

Another nice promo from GOG, and happy 10th anniversary to Blitzkrieg.

the_bard: Never played these. So, if I was going for one to try the series out; which would be the one to get?
Not played 2 yet, but from what others have told me:
Blitzkrieg 1 is generally considered to be the better of the two, but it is also more unforgiving, so anyone who is not comfortable with tactical games on a slightly larger scale will probably find it frustrating.
Blitzkrieg 2 is easier but not as deep.
blitzkrieg anniversary celebration... on a poland based site... my head just exploded Oo

:-) (-:

You do not have too many games, you just do not have enough time.

Also, these are very good games, not as much fun for me as Commandos, but still worth buying.

Liked the commandos series too. The only one I never played was Commandos 3, just never had the...well time :) I thought GOG would have the sudden strike series by now, but oh well...

Your right though, there is never enough time. I may have to jump planet to make up the time :)

+1 to everyone for their recommendations. I'll see how the rest of the week looks and if nothing catches my eye I'll pick this up and add it to my backlog. Thanks!
