Anyone else ever do anything there?

If so has ANYONE actually won a game with a won key in the Christmas event?

You only have a 10% x your level chance of even getting a key... so after "winning" that 30% chance I have, I feel really sad about then losing on EVERY key and only getting useless inventory items or worse yet, coal.

Oh and if someone wants to join I can send an invite (think you need to be invited) I probably just need an email or something.. I really liked the site, to me it's more what steamgifts SHOULD be, but the recent region locking will probably really beat the site up unless they add a better way of knowing if a game is locked by region. (I'm hoping they are working on this)

Gameminer is a giveaway site that has a blackmarket section where people sell accounts and other crap. They're not considered particularly legitimate and not used much outside of the RU/CIS/Europe regions.

Other people will stick to steamgifts, playblink, and galagiveaways. They're better structured, haven't been shutdown for doing illegal things in the past, and you won't have to worry too much about getting russian locked gifts.
I used to giveaway a lot of my duplicate keys there in the past which got me up to level 3 but I still didn't get anything from this event.
I spent over 10 of those keys and didn't get anything in return, so I gave up at this point. Don't waste your time with it. It will only frustrate you.
No kidding!

I just "won" two more keys and got 2 more inventory items... also only level 3 (which isn't that easy to get, really, compared to what you're getting)
Was talking to a guy with an 80% chance that has only gotten one game and assloads of nothing as well... odds must be complete ass to actually get a game

i disagree with the better structured part... leechers are really handicapped on gameminer, whereas they make up a vast majority on both gameminer AND SG, I feel that it's less desirable on gameminer to be one.

Also just by looking at some of the steam profiles in SG I've seen a few of the really "good" titles coming from Ru/SA, which will probably be a locked version (but who knows for SURE)

But you actually raised a thought ... what if I acquire a RU account? If it's already SG approved, I could use that account, and damned near abandon my actual one

Besides buying/"acquiring" (even freely) another account being against the TOS of Steam, having multiple accounts on SG is also against their TOS.

And with gameminer and playblink, you can get by on bundle and free promo games for the points. When you make a system where people can "rise to the top" they will use every exploit to their advantage in order to make all of the profits go to them in the end.

For SG it's easy to circlejerk your way into giveaway groups if that's all you wanted. But most people miss the spirit of what made it a good place to begin with. Now it's spammers, zealots and elitists. :\
