Just dug out my boxed copies of 3 and 4 (The Room) as I had never really touched them on the PC, they've been sitting at the back of a cupboard for years now and having seen that Shattered Memories came onto the PSN store (Sadly not for the Vita though..) sparked me to get them out and give em a bash. I remember buying the room for three pound in the local Game store years ago (the price it can get on Ebay is a bit astonishing, to say the least..) and it amazes me that there is not a downloadable version of these games, anywhere!

Whats the chances of them ever coming to GOG?

It would be nice, but is there even a single Konami game here yet?
oh man I've never finished the room. I think I was too harsh on it not being like the other 3 games but now that I look back on it it was still pretty amazing. I don't think we will ever see the old silent hills as downloadable versions, which sucks...
Whenever I hear the title The Room I always think of this damn movie:

The best way to show your interest : http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#search=silent%20hill
I voted for the series, it could be great to have those games here indeed.

Very slim, I'm afraid. Konami is a company that treats it's valuable assets like shit...

On the plus side, GOG has a game called Lone Survivor that is very similar in atmosphere (albeit not in gameplay) that you should probably take a look at .
Lone Survivor is also similar in terms of gameplay to Silent Hill 1 :)

Konami is very stupid: they can simply release SH 2,3,4 on digital delivery stores with a little effort, fixing the resolution...but no. Instead we had title like Shattered Memories (not a crappy game, but for sure it isn't a SH), Downpour and Homecoming (this is nice, by the way).
The Room is quite possibly the most disturbing Silent Hill ever. Because you're helpless, and hopeless for most of the time. Can't think of a single instance in the game that make you overwhelms your opponent.

*possible spoilers below*

Even your safe haven not really that safe. In fact it is one of the most eerie place in the game.

And when the door of your apartment opens...the horror.
Great title, I have it on PC, the only horrible thing is that you can't choose a proper resolution for today monitors.

You know, I'm still waiting for the day when some clever git decides to edit Tommy Wiseau's dialogue into SH: The Room.

It will either be hilarious or terrible.

I too would like SH to be on GOG. I never had a chance to play the games, despite my interest in the lore.
I've heard the PC ports were pretty buggy though; GOG might have to fix that somehow.

"Everyone betrayed me, I'm fed up with this world."

Oddly enough, that line is quite suitable for a SH game. :D

Nope, the PC ports are very good and nice looking even today. There's a thread on Neogaf in which they help you to mod the game, and it looks great.

The buggy port is the HD Collection for consolle.

I might have to try to get a copy then :D
It's silent hill 2 that I'm particularly interested in; I understand that it's the most iconic of the series, the one that everyone remembers.
