Detective-mystery meets paranormal thriller!
A season pass for Cognition. An Erica Reed Thriller, an episodic point-and-click adventure story packed with challenging puzzles, branching paths, and a disquieting mood, is available on GOG.com 33% off. That's only $19.99 for the first week.
Erica Reed is an exceptional detective, but being special always comes at a price. Her extraordinary gift, allowing her a peek into the past by simply touching an object, makes her the ultimate bloodhound, and yet, causes excruciating mental pain. Her own past is marred irreparably by a personal tragedy. Can she conquer her demons by solving one morbid case after another, or will the unfading shadow of her brother's killer torment her forever? The mystery thickens, as someone starts leaving clues, that can only be uncovered with the use of Erica's unique ability. Who? Why? Can the troubled detective last long enough to find out?
So wait a minute--a season pass?
This may be something new for some of you, so we wanted to let you guys know what we mean by "Season Pass."Cognition. An Erica Reed Thriller consists of four episodes (fourth of which will be released on GOG.com, on 19 September 2013), each of them investigating a seemingly unrelated murder case. Each mystery is its own self-contained game, and when you buy a season pass you'll get all of the games in the "season". You're essentially preordering a season of episodic games. In this case, we already have Episodes 1, 2, and 3 available right now, so you're only preordering Episode 4, which is coming out in a week's time. By buying a season pass now, you're saving 33% off the price of the full season. So if this looks like your kind of thing, picking it up now saves you $9.99.
Uncover dark mysteries behind grisly killings and lead detective Erica Reed to absolution over four tension-filled episodes of Cognition. An Erica Reed Thriller, available DRM-free on GOG.com, for only $19.99. The offer lasts until Thursday, September 19, at 5:59AM GMT.

Shaolin_sKunk: I've always thought "Season tickets" sounded better than "Season pass".

IAmSinistar: I'd prefer a Backstage Pass to Erica Reed. ;)
THIS ^
Looks great, gonna buy first thing once I get home.
Thanks for bringing it to GOG.
Being the "strong" character as i am - i should SERIOUSLY consider blocking GOG on my server - could'nt resist DAEDALIC promo - couldn't resist PICK FIVE promo (and was still considering to make another because of BLACKWELL missing) - but ERICA REED at least solved that last dilemma Blackwell must wait (must...must...)...i mean - ROMANO MOLENAAR (Storm, anyone? Late Don Lawrence?) and JANE JENSEN - this is inhuman - towards my wallet...

Why are so many people here posting about getting boners over a cartoon character? It's one thing to think it, but to actually articulate it? Jesus.

Also, did somebody seriously delete my DSL joke post? So a bunch of nerds can be all like ZOMG IM SO BUYING THIS GAME THIS CHICK IS SO HAWT and its okay and if some neckbeard says "Erica Reed, you are a lovely womyn with luscious red lips, m'lady" its okay but if i jokingly say that she has dick sucking lips I get my fucking post deleted? Seriously?

katiehal16: Good news, however! As we've posted on our tumblr account (http://postudios.tumblr.com/post/61020431699/cognition-an-erica-reed-thriller-is-on-gog), if you own some of the episodes, you can email us a proof of purchase and we'll send you a code to get the Season Pass at a discount. The breakdown is:

- If you own 1 episode, the Season Pass will be $22.99 (of note, the current sale price is $19.99, so if this is you, go for it!)
- If you own 2 episodes, it's $15.99
- If you own 3 episodes, it's $9.99
Yeah, I saw that.. was rather saddened it wasn't a proper 50% off or better deal. At $23 it's about $5.75 an episode, and if there are only four episodes, that means even discounted to $16 we're being overcharged per episode with that discount. I would gladly pay $5-6 for them individually as I had the money, but not like this. :<

JudasIscariot: ... We won't be selling individual episodes of this one. It's all or nothing :)
Fair enough. Simplifies the decision. I'm inclined for the later. :)

It may to be of interest to you that Raleigh Holmes is a voice actress of Erica Reed and her group, Scarlet Furies, contributed to the soundtrack. She a daugther of Robert Holmes who composed music for Gabriel Knight series and who is a husband of Jane Jensen.

Thanks, I didn't know that she was in a music group, and I've just listened to some songs on the official website, it's pretty cool.
I've also recognized her in the Moebius KS' video!

Cool! I admit I had to find my way to their music. Probably because The Scarlet Furies seem to be influenced by country and I'm not into it. They also created music for another Jane Jensen's game - Gray Matter. I still like her The Taking the most. Absolutely beautiful.

Maybe you should take a better look first before you go on a rant?
What format/bitrate does the soundtrack come in?

It's a high bitrate compressed mp3 format.
